My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello… I’m Mr. PB&J! When I first arrived at the shelter, I was quite the reserved gentleman. All the new sounds and activity felt overwhelming, so I kept to myself and watched the world from a safe, cozy corner. But guess what? With time, patience, and lots of kindness from the staff and volunteers, I’ve really come out of my shell! These days, I’m a very social, affectionate, attention-seeking guy. I absolutely love being around people and will happily soak up all the pets and love you’re willing to give. Gentle affection? Yes please. Lap time? Don’t mind if I do. I’ve discovered that having human friends is actually the best thing ever! I still appreciate a calm environment where I can feel safe and secure, but once I settle in, I’m all about companionship. I’ll follow you around, ask for attention, and be your loyal little shadow. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving cat who has blossomed into a total people-lover, I might just be your perfect match. Could I bring a little extra sweetness to your forever home?

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City.
