My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dear Internet, I am Fuji. Like the mountain. Majestic. Serene. Slightly iconic. 🏔️I’ve been told I’m a “sweet and gentle soul” with a “calm, cool, collected demeanor.” I personally prefer the term emotionally evolved fluff. I’m the kind of girl who will quietly sit beside you while you work, rest my head on your leg like a warm, fluffy paperweight, and make your entire day better. If you’re looking for a sweet, grounded, affectionate companion with the emotional maturity of a tiny mountain sage wrapped in fluff…you are looking at her.

Oh, good, you are still here. I was hoping you’d continue reading about me. Excellent choice. My siblings and I found ourselves in a shelter for a brief, very dramatic chapter of our autobiography. As it turns out, some of my family members were still wandering about like they were filming a low-budget survival documentary — including my mama, Sierra. Thankfully, PPFT said, “Absolutely not,” and scooped everyone up like the heroes they are. But let’s gently pivot back to the important subject here. Me. Because you are, in fact, falling in love with me right now. Correct? I am a 10-week-old, 6-pound female Pyr mix with the kind of face that makes people stop (and scroll) in their tracks and just stare for a minute. I am truly just THAT cute.

My social life? Oh please. I am diplomacy wrapped in fluff. I’m very calm and easygoing with my fellow canines. I prefer light, tasteful play. A gentle bounce. A polite paw. A brief zoom, if the mood strikes. I participate… but I do not descend into nonsense. So yes — I do great with other dogs. I’m friendly, social, and perfectly capable of having fun. I just prefer to keep things dignified. The house panther? I acknowledge its existence the same way I acknowledge furniture. It is there. It moves occasionally. Not my concern. The cat can do cat things. I will do Fuji things. We coexist. Peacefully. Maturely. Like two professionals sharing an office space. Have I been around kids? Yes. Teenagers. The tall, slightly louder variety. They moved. They spoke. They existed in my vicinity. I remained calm, gentle, and emotionally regulated — like the tiny 6-pound beacon of composure that I am. Given my naturally calm and sweet demeanor, it’s widely believed I would do just fine with kids of other ages too — provided they understand that I am not a trampoline, a stuffed animal, or a contestant in “Who Can Pick Up the Puppy the Fastest.”

Energy level? A solid 3. I don’t need constant entertainment. I don’t require a marathon training partner. I’m the kind of girl who will happily explore, play gently with friends, and then curl up beside you like a warm, fluffy paperweight. I conserve energy. I strategize. I do not waste stamina on unnecessary dramatics. Adventure-seeker or homebody? Listen. I am 10 weeks old. I am still deciding what my favorite flavor of kibble is. You expect me to have a fully formed lifestyle brand already? Currently, I am very laid back and enjoy relaxing at home. I appreciate a cozy vibe. A soft blanket. A calm environment where I can supervise the household like the tiny, fluffy executive I am. However. As my confidence grows and I expand into my mountain-era personality, I may very well decide that outings are acceptable. Strolls? Lovely. New places? Intriguing. Adventures? Potentially delightful. So right now? I’m a peaceful little homebody with “future adventure girl” potential loading in the background. Overall temperament? Imagine if a marshmallow took a meditation class and then grew fur. I am a sweet and gentle soul. Soft-hearted. Mild-mannered. Emotionally stable in ways that feel suspicious for someone who still occasionally trips over her own feet. I have that calm, cool, collected demeanor down to an art form.

Now, I am a 10-week-old, 6-pound mountain princess. I am sweet. I am serene. I am operating at an energy level of “gentle breeze.” What I am not… is fully trained by magic. So yes — my new family will need to be prepared to potty train me. You will also need to puppy-proof your home. I am small. I am curious. I will explore. If you leave your prized possessions at ground level, that feels like a choice you made. Socialization? Absolutely. I am naturally calm and sweet, but confidence grows with exposure. Take me places. Let me see the world. Introduce me to kind humans, polite dogs, and new experiences. Help me become the majestic, well-rounded guardian queen I’m clearly destined to be. Training? Yes. Kindly. Consistently. With treats. Remember: I am part Great Pyrenees. We don’t respond to “because I said so.” We respond to leadership that makes sense. Be patient. Be steady. And I promise — with my gentle temperament, calm demeanor, and soft little heart — I am giving you an excellent starting point. You bring the structure. I’ll bring the serenity.

If you’ve made it this far, congratulations. You are clearly invested in small, emotionally regulated mountain royalty with excellent character development potential. If you would like to adopt me, you will need to fill out an actual adoption application. Not a “still available?” Not a “price?” Not a casual emoji reaction. A real application. The kind with words. And effort. Why? Because it gets sent to my foster family so they can confirm you are prepared to raise a calm, brilliant, slightly independent Pyr mix with mountain-sized potential. They would like to ensure I am going somewhere worthy of this level of softness and wisdom. And once approved? You will need to come pick me up in Skiatook, Oklahoma.
