My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ah yes. Thyme. 🌿
Because subtlety was never on the menu.

Thyme is the kind of dog who believes personal space is a myth invented by cats. She loves people with the unshakable confidence of someone who assumes every human in the room showed up specifically to meet her. Outgoing? Absolutely. Loves everyone? Without question. If you walk into a room, Thyme has already decided you’re best friends and is emotionally invested in the relationship. Bold. Bright. Impossible to ignore. She brings flavor to every situation. If there’s a human nearby, she is there—ready to play, ready to charm, ready to accept affection like it’s her full-time job. Basically, if you’re looking for a dog who will greet you like you’ve been gone for years—even if you just went to the bathroom—Thyme is your girl. Fresh. Zesty. Slightly extra. And absolutely unforgettable. 🌿

Thyme is a 6-week-old, 9-lb female Pyr/Lab allegedly… based on Mama Rosemary’s looks and our constantly evolving group theories. Here’s what we know for sure: Mom weighs about 72 lbs and is lovely. Dad? A mystery. A legend. A very handsome stranger who we’re fairly confident was flirting with small-pony territory. Given Thyme and her siblings’ current size, we’re guessing she’ll land somewhere in the 60–70 lb range… but honestly, we could be wildly correct or impressively wrong. Either way, adopting Thyme means signing up for a lifelong game of “What breed do you think she is today?” and “How much do you think she weighs now?” Bonus points if you turn it into a daily betting system with your partner. Thyme came to us the best way possible—born safely in foster care after her mama was pulled from the urgent list while very pregnant. This little spice has known nothing but love, warm beds, and humans who think she’s perfect (because she is). She’s outgoing, wildly people-loving, and operates under the assumption that everyone she meets is already obsessed with her.

When it comes to other dogs, Thyme is extremely prepared. The aunties? Obsessed. She is desperate to play with them and treats every encounter like the best day of her tiny life. Zero fear. Maximum enthusiasm. She has no idea that she is not as big of them...yet. Cats remain a mystery. She has not met any, but given her general life philosophy, we assume she would attempt friendship immediately and be deeply confused if the cat did not agree to this arrangement. As for kids—also untested, but let’s be honest here. If a child is holding a toy, Thyme will be holding a toy approximately 0.3 seconds later. She would likely do great, provided the kid understands that toys are a shared resource and that Thyme did not come here to watch from the sidelines.

Thyme’s personality can best be described as “yes.”
Yes to tug—whether that’s a toy, your sleeve, or the pant leg you foolishly thought was safe. Yes to people. Yes to play. She approaches life like a puppy who woke up every morning and chose engagement. Loud noise across the room? Absolutely not a problem. Thyme runs toward it like an unpaid intern investigating a workplace mystery. Fear simply did not make the cut in this litter. She’s bold, curious, and convinced the world is interesting and probably about her. That said, once playtime wraps up, Thyme is also strategic. She is often one of the first to power down, carefully selecting the best resting spot like a tiny real estate investor. Observant, thoughtful, and already practicing premium nap placement. Energy-wise, she’s a solid puppy-level 7 out of 10. She plays hard, crashes harder, and sleeps like she just worked a double shift.

Your mission — should you choose to accept it — is to mold Thyme into the kind of polite, civilized, well-adjusted canine citizen who makes your partner…who once said, “We are absolutely not getting another dog,” suddenly start using phrases like “my baby” and “she just fits our vibe, how did we ever live without her?.” Socialization? Thyme is brave, confident, and wildly unbothered by loud noises, but she still needs to meet people, dogs, places, strange sounds, and that suspicious trash can that appears out of nowhere every Tuesday. raining? Yup. All you. Thyme is not studying obedience flashcards or preparing a PowerPoint on “Sit Means Sit.” She is a blank notebook. A fluffy little sponge. A bold seasoning that needs just the right balance. With the right guidance, Thyme will grow into the kind of dog who charms strangers, wins over skeptics, and proves that yes, adopting another dog was absolutely the right choice. She’s sweet, people-loving, and full of potential.

So here’s the deal. If you’re looking for a puppy who loves people with her whole chest, investigates the world like a tiny detective, plays hard, naps harder, and will absolutely grow into a loyal, lovable, slightly-too-smart-for-her-own-good companion… Thyme is ready to steal your heart.

Now for the very official adult part: you must fill out an adoption application at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app so we can send it to her foster family. No app, no Thyme. That’s just how this works. She will need to be picked up in Broken Arrow, and please note—she is not available to go home until after February 24th. She has important puppy business to attend to until then.

If you’re ready for a lifetime of love, laughs, and saying “wow she’s gotten big” at least once a month… go ahead and apply. Thyme is waiting. 🌿
