Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
This helps Animal Care Centers of NYC | Manhattan with pet care costs.
The staff think I would do best in a home where there are no other cats or dogs.
I would do best in a home with only adult humans.
I have potential behavior challenges that staff will address with you when you meet me.
I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.
I am looking for a home with a patient person.
I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.
What my friends at ACC say about me:
Sky Bell was curled up at the top shelf with a neutral body and wide eyes. He leans his head forward to sniff treats offered and allows petting on the head. He turns his head to the side and slow blinks when receiving cheek rubs. When stroking his body, he looks back at the assessor's hand and lip licks. When reaching around his body rotating him around to face the back wall, and pulling him forward, he tenses up and stands his ground. During pick up, he remains calm but tenses up, rests his front limbs on the assessor's arm, and allows petting all over before pushing against the assessor's body to be let down. After returning him into the kennel, he sits up at the back of the main kennel area and continues to tolerate petting and cheek rubs while lip licking.
