My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Luna !

At nearly 20 pounds of pure love, Luna is a big, beautiful girl with an even bigger heart. Don’t let her size fool you—this sweet 9-year-old absolutely adores being held like a little baby. She’ll happily melt into your arms, soaking up every cuddle and giving you that cozy, comforting presence only a devoted cat can provide.

Luna isn’t much of a player these days, but she more than makes up for it as a world-class snuggler. If you’re looking for a laid-back companion to curl up with during movie nights or lazy Sunday afternoons, she’s your girl.

One of Luna’s most charming quirks is her tiny teeth! Despite being 9 years old, she has very small teeth—much smaller than you’d expect, even compared to a kitten—and she’s missing her top canine. It doesn’t slow her down one bit, though. She happily crunches her dry food and enjoys her daily wet food like a champ.

Luna is ready to bring warmth, comfort, and lots of cuddles to a loving home. If you’ve got room in your heart (and on your couch) for this oversized lap cat, Luna is waiting to meet you.

FMAR felines are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for age-appropriate shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
