My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Moocifer – From Survivor to Sweetheart 🖤🤍

Moocifer’s story started on the streets, where he was originally trapped for TNR. But once it became clear that this handsome boy was actually friendly, everything changed. Instead of returning outside, he was given the chance he deserved — safety, healing, and love.

While recovering at the Hissy Hut from extensive wounds, Moocifer showed us who he truly is. What started as cautious curiosity slowly turned into gentle head nudges, soft purrs, and those sweet, trusting eyes that say, “Thank you for helping me.” He may take a little time to warm up in a new space, but once he does, his affectionate and loyal personality shines through.

Moocifer is a resilient, tender-hearted boy who has been through so much and is so ready for a forever home where he can continue to blossom. If you believe in second chances and the quiet magic of earning a cat’s trust, Moocifer just might be your perfect match. 🐾

Additional adoption info

For our dogs, we are a foster-based organization that primarily helps our county government-operated shelter with surrender diversion, i.e. owners rehoming pets, help with behavior issues, etc. In September 2023 we opened a cat adoption center that supports the effort to keep more cats out of the shelter.
