Hi there! We’re Jazz and Blues — a perfectly harmonized pair of little budgies ready to find our forever home. We came to the shelter when our previous owner could no longer care for us. It was a difficult change, but we’re staying hopeful that our next family will be our forever one. Because we’re a bonded pair, we need to stay together — we truly are happiest side by side. You’ll often find us chatting back and forth, gently preening each other, or perched close together like the best of friends (which we are!). We’re looking for a home that understands proper budgie care and is ready to meet our needs. A spacious cage, time outside of it to stretch our wings, a healthy diet with pellets and fresh veggies, enriching toys, and regular avian vet care will help us thrive. We may be a little shy at first as we adjust, but with patience and kindness, our sweet and cheerful personalities will shine through. If you’re ready to welcome double the chirps, double the fluttering, and double the love into your life, we promise to fill your home with the soft, happy music only a bonded pair like us can make.

The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
