My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gambit !

Gambit is a sweet boy who’s a bit bigger than your average kitten — definitely much larger than his partner in crime, Rogue! Don’t let his size fool you though; he has a gentle heart and loves getting attention, especially when there’s some tasty wet food involved.

While Gambit enjoys being around people, he may not turn into a cuddle bug right away. He can be a little shy at first and might need some time to settle in and show off his full personality. With patience and a loving home, he’ll blossom into the wonderful companion we know he can be.

Gambit absolutely adores snuggling with Rogue and finds comfort in feline companionship. Because of this, he would do best going to a home with another cat — either being adopted with a friend or joining a household that already has a friendly feline companion.

Just like his namesake from the X-Men, Gambit may take a little time to reveal his true powers — but once he does, he’ll steal your heart faster than a charged playing card.

FMAR felines are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for age-appropriate shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
