* Courtesy Post* Hi everyone, my name is Red! I’m a Basenji mix, little over a year old and weigh just over 30 lbs. Don’t let my name or my past scare you — even though I came from a very abusive situation where I wasn’t loved or cared for, I’m now with an amazing foster family who has shown me that good people do exist. I’m learning every day that not everyone wants to hurt me, and I’m opening up so beautifully. I’m looking for a forever family with: A yard, so I can play and explore, A cozy spot in your bed (snuggles are my favorite!) Someone who’s home often, because I get anxious when I’m left alone I’m a very smart boy — I’ve already learned how to use the doggy door! Everyone who meets me calls me a gentle giant and says my heart shines through my eyes. My foster mom named me Red because of my beautiful coloring and my sweet, warm personality. A few more things about me: I love other dogs, especially ones close to my size who are gentle but playful. Cats? I’m not quite sure what they are yet — I might accidentally scare them! I enjoy walks, but I have an injured leg, so short, easy strolls are best for me. I’m incredibly loving, loyal, and just want to be close to my humans. Naz is an jackpot dog! He is a great size at just 40 lbs at 10 mos old. He is completely house broken and crate trained. He also knows all of his basic commands. On top of all that is is loving, playful, intelligent and eager to please. He loves every dog he meets and all people. Naz is a higher energy dogs and needs an active family. Naz loves to play with his squeaky toys and go for walks. He also loves to cuddle next to you on the couch. Naz is afraid of cats, so he could do well in a home with cats. Zoe is a beautiful 9-year-old Shiba Inu looking for a calm, child-free home. She has been a beloved part of our family since a puppy, but with a toddler and a new baby on the way, we can no longer provide the controlled environment she needs to feel safe and relaxed. Zoe is an independent, loyal companion who enjoys quiet time and routine. She’s generally calm & quiet but has some behavioral sensitivities & can be reactive around children and other dogs and may snap if touched unexpectedly. Because of this, she’ll do best in a home without young kids or other pets, with someone experienced in understanding and managing Shiba behaviors. She is currently on medication for anxiety and allergies, which help her stay comfortable. Zoe is house-trained, crate-trained, up to date on vaccinations and vet visits, and prefers a peaceful environment with predictable routines. We are looking for a patient, responsible adopter who can offer Zoe a safe and loving home for her senior years!
