Hey there, I’m Gus, a handsome guy with a short, to the point name that means “Exalted” or “Great One”!  It’s sweet yet the embodiment of power and royalty.  Taken in by Molly’s Place with my ma and bro, I have been waiting for a chance for a furever home. Ma, said to be a sharp looking possibly PURE Basenji, and dad, well, mom never said, but said to have been a hansom dude, so this apple didn’t fall far from the tree. I’m really have a handsome pooch if I do say so myself. Decked out in a Glistening Brindle fur mix of browns, chestnut and black, my coat is short, face ever so sweet, cute ears, set off by my soulful golden eyes.   Although initially shy, I do warm up and am great with other doggies. Fast moving children scare me so best if no children in my home. Once settled in and confident, I’ll bring SUNSHINE into your life with my playful charm and goofy character. Although I’m NOT a wild child, I do need some exercise and a 4 foot fence would suit my just fine giving me initial boundaries. If you have it in your heart to reach out to a boy that only needs a chance to prove what love is, get going, fill out an application and come meet up with me. Four years of age, weighing about 55 lbs.  I’ve got PERSONALTY FROM TIP OF MY TAIL TO THE STRIP UP MY NOSE!  It’s just takes a little while for my true personality to shine through.   Taken in by Molly’s Place, my bro Gus and I have been waiting for a chance for our furever home. Sampson's my name and Loving is my game. About 7 months old I'm thought ta be a tri colored Basenji mix little boy weighing in at 35#. Probably won't grow much more so I'm definitely "Lap Size"! Anyway, I'm here ta tell you it's been said I'm sweeter than a piece of warm Blueberry Pie with ice cream! Can't beat that! I'm a looker too with 1 ear up and 1 ear down! :)  Turned into the shelter being tagged not good with kids as an issue, the shelter staff and Molly's Place can't figure out why... It's been tried to pull my tail, ears, lips and feet but I never ever reacted. I'm just saying my old family "Fibbed" but I'm sharing it just because... Heck, they even tried to bear huging me with no reaction what so ever... Not even a flinch. After a whole lot'a pull'n, prod'n and get'n no reaction, they finally gave up try'n ta figure it out. After all that drama, the shelter was run'n out of space for doggo's like me, so I was loaded on transport on my way to a better place, Molly's Place!  The truth of it is, I'm beyond sweet! I'm good with people, love other dogs and could be acclimated with cats. I walk great on leash, take treats gently and know basic commands like sit and down. I'm also very handsome and photogenic even if I do say so myself.  So if ya want a sweet good looking boy with lots of potential and mega personality, than look no further cause I'm you guy. So I am pretty sure my rescuers were HUNGRY when they named us ;0 Cashew is my name and i am as delightful as a sweet n nutty n salty treat. Not only was I named after food...my babies were too! Who names puppies Chicken, Banana and Raisin?? Hungry rescuers, thats who!!!! Now , when we were found, we were HUNGRY TOO! We were "living" at a gas station in the 90 to 100 degree temperatures and unbelievable flooding 🌧.... so yep, we r SURVIVORS! As mama to this crew I was so very scared for our safety but was also scared of the people helping us... fast forward to today! I love my people and my babies r grown and finding their own homes... its my turn now! I am a good girl, great size of 30# and a heart full of love and adventure! Adopt me soon!!
