The Brave, Cuddly Former Mama Ready for Her Own Happily Ever After!
Hello there! My name is Daphne, and I am a 17-pound Chihuahua mix, 4 years old. I am fully spayed, up-to-date on all my vaccines, and ready to start the most exciting chapter of my life.
My story started in a high-kill shelter where I was protecting my six tiny puppies. Thankfully, we were rescued! All of my babies have found their forever homes, and now it is finally my turn to be the center of someone’s world.
My Journey: From Terrified to Triumphant.
When I first arrived at my foster home, I was incredibly timid, shy, and absolutely terrified of human touch. The world felt like a very scary place. But with a lot of patience and love, I have made massive progress!
Today, I am a completely different dog:The Shadow: I have discovered that humans are actually wonderful. Now, I happily follow my foster family all around the house just to see what they are up to.
A Certified Cuddle Bug: Once I know I can trust you, I absolutely love lots of cuddles! Getting pets and being close to my people is my new favorite thing.
The Ultimate Sleep Buddy: Just like my daytime routine, I like to stay close at night. I curl up and sleep right in the big bed with my people.
My Social Life & Playtime.
While I am still learning to trust new humans at first, I am an absolute natural with other dogs! I feel so much braver when I am around other canines. I love playing with all the dogs in my foster home, and having a doggy sibling to show me the ropes really helps my confidence shine.
My Ideal Forever Home.
Because I have come such a long way, I am looking for a patient adopter who will continue to celebrate my milestones. A home with another friendly dog would be amazing to help me keep building my confidence. Adoption Process
Application Submission – Start by completing our adoption application on our website.
Background Check – We review applications and conduct a background check.
Meet and Greet – Approved applicants are invited to meet the pet and given a day or two to think about the adoption before making their decision.
Adoption Agreement, Fee, Photo – If it’s a good fit, you’ll complete an adoption contract and submit the adoption fee and a photo of you and your new family member.
Home Check – We require a quick home check to ensure a safe environment.
10-Day Trial Adoption – Take your new pet home for a 10-day trial period to make sure it’s the right match.
