Hii my name is OpinionYou could form a lot of opinions about me but one fact about me is that I`m Purfect! I`m just a baby and will need a family willing to put the time, patience, love, and training it takes to have a puppy. I know I`ll be hard work with my puppy-like behaviors (chewing, potty training, crate training, etc.) but I`m worth it! The reward of watching me grow and creating an unbreakable bond is unmatchable. We`ll make so many memories, laugh, and cry together. So, if you`re ready for a new lifetime best friend, here I am!No appointment necessary!Meet me at AAWL`s Main Shelter!25 N. 40th StPhoenix AZ 85034602-273-6852Adoption Hours:Monday - ClosedTuesday - Friday & Sunday - 11:30am - 6:00pmSaturday - 10:30am - 6:00pm.AAWL requires that all adopted dogs leave with a leash and collar and all cats leave in a carrier.

Story
Sabrina’s Story:  Neighbors watched Sabrina and worried about her. She was sitting patiently in the driveway waiting for her people to come home. But the neighbors knew that the people had moved away and left Sabrina behind and so they reached out to us. As if that wasn't bad enough, Sabrina wasn't moving properly, and when we took her to see our vet, we found out that she had multiple  fractures of her pelvis! Today Sabrina is doing very well in her foster home. She has been on a program of careful rest and monitored activities and her fractures are healing well. She still has a way to go, but would like to complete her rehab in a home of her own. Help A Dog Smile will continue to cover all necessary medical expenses at her current vet practice. Sabrina has beautiful manners, she is house trained using a doggie door, possibly without one as well. She eats her food nicely and gets along great with the other foster dogs. She is leash trained and enjoys a quiet walk, but is terrified of traffic. It's possible that her pelvis was fractured due to being hit by a car. Sabrina would do well in almost any home. She attaches herself quickly to her humans and is very gentle and undemanding. She has not been around cats or small children but would probably do well. It's important for her continued healing that she not jump or play hard. She is happy to spend her day lying at your feet or curled up in her bed  Sabrina is estimated to be 5-6 years old, and is looking forward to meeting you. Adoption Requirements : Sabrina’s adoption fee is $350. If you think Sabrina is the dog for you please review the following adoption requirements.   Must live in the Phoenix metro area Must have a securely fenced yard Must be willing to work with Help A Dog Smile Rescue on Sabrina’s rehabilitation from a fractured pelvis.  Help A Dog Smile will continue to cover all necessary medical expenses from the fracture at her current vet practice. If you are interested in Sabrina please complete an adoption application*: helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application .  *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up.  March 12, 2026, 10:04 pm

Heidi is a beautiful 12-year-old senior girl who was given a second chance after being rescued from the euthanasia list when a large mass was discovered on her spleen. Thanks to 2nd Chance Dog Rescue, she received the surgery and care she needed and is now healthy, happy, and ready to find the forever home she deserves. Heidi is truly one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. She is house trained, rides wonderfully in the car, knows sit and shake, takes treats gently, and loves spending time with her people. She follows her favorite person from room to room and is happiest simply being by your side. She loves children and has done great with kids she has met. Heidi is not reactive to other dogs and does best with calm, mellow dogs, although she can be selective about her dog friends. She would also be perfectly happy as your one and only pet, soaking up all the love and attention. Her history with cats is unknown. If you're looking for a loyal, gentle companion who will fill your home with unconditional love, Heidi is your girl. She has overcome so much and is ready to spend her golden years in a home where she will be cherished.
