He is a 2 1/2 year-old basset hound looking for a new forever home! He was showing some food aggression towards the other dog in his last family, and they had a toddler with a new baby on the way, so it was not an ideal situation for him. he is currently being kenneled, and our vets office said they have not seen any aggression issues there, but he is in a new environment. He is housebroken and crate, trained and absolutely loves to cuddle! He is currently located in the Columbus area and his adoption fee is $250. He will need a home with a fenced in yard. Kirby is a Beagle/Basset Hound mix that came to OBHR from a local shelter where he was picked up as a stray.  He's neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccines,  and said to be in very good health. We were told by the shelter he is about 4-5 years old but the vet thinks more like 2-3 so we are going to say about 3.5! Only Kirby knows! Kirby is VERY timid and quick to jump at sudden movement or noises, but who knows what kind of trauma he has endured as a stray. Since he warmed up and became comfortable, he has shown a lot of affection and gotten along well with the other dogs and cats. He doesn't seem to have any formal training but he is a quick learner and we are working together to master the basics.  Kirby needs a home with a fenced in yard and preferably no young kids due to his fears. We don’t want him to be scared by active children. Todd is about 2 to 3 years old, a basset hound mix! He was found as a stray and the folks who found tried to keep him, but he did not get along with their cats. Todd is a big cuddle bug and loves to sleep in bed with you!! He loves to play and has a strong grip so will need some heavy duty toys! He is house broken, crate trained, up to date and neutered. He is about 45 pounds and will need a home with a fenced in yard. Todd’s adoption fee is $250 and he is being fostered near Dayton. If interested please apply online at ohiobassetrescue.com.
