BUTTERCUP is the best of the best. She is definitely Bassett Hound. The rest is left to our imagination…St. Bernard for the face and coloring and tail? She is 3 yrs old…(estimated DOB 11/21/22). She also weighs 50#...but she’s not very tall at all. You can see in the video. She is the closest to the perfect dog I’ve ever seen. She is smart, calm, happy, gets along with all dogs, cats, people…Oh, my…what a sweet dog. She loves going outside and loves to sleep next to my feet at the computer…or dinner table…or next to my bed at night. She is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. I haven’t had the opportunity to test her with children but I can’t imagine she’d have a problem with them unless they are loud and obnoxious…and what dog wouldn’t have a problem with that?
She would love to have a home with a yard…to run and play…and a doggy door would be perfect. But, it’s not necessary…a house or apartment with many opportunities to go outside. She is not one to do lots of walking like hiking or running with you. She needs exercise…but not a lot. Don’t let her get overweight because of the Bassett legs.

This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention.

Adoption Fees
The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting.
All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog.
This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose.
