Story
Meet Cardi B! Cardi B is a stunning nine year old, 37 pound Basset Hound.
This girl loves to loves to cuddle, snooze, and meet anyone and everyone! She loves all people she meets; her biggest superpowers include being gentle and kind, wonderful with children, drawn to all humans small and tall alike, dogs of any shape and size and her fun-loving personality.
Despite coming up to NYC from rural Tennessee, she is not scared to walk on the city streets nor is she fearful of loud sounds or cars. She simply LOVES to walk, trot, or even run along with her humans and take in the sights and smells! In typical hound fashion, Cardi B loves to sniff, but she is not stubborn nor is she difficult to redirect. Should you be able to get Cardi B. out for a nice daily sniff walk, we think she would be equally happy in a city as she would be in a suburban environment. The key for Cardi's long term joy would just be a family to adore her!
Cardi B understands outdoor potty and is readily becoming potty trained. She has had some accidents in the home, but we feel these are due to transition and recent spay and suspect they will subside shortly.
Some of Bee's favorite things are couches, cozy blankets and her humans. She is truly a lover of life! She makes her foster parents laugh all day long with random antics and is the perfect couch companion.
Cardi B will enhance your life if you welcome her into it. She carries tons of love, laughter, and snores in that little long body!
Cardi B is being fostered in Brooklyn, NY. Her adoption fee is $325.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
