Valentino is hoping to come to NJ soon if we find a foster or adopter. We offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters. Valentino is described as a very friendly boy with a short but long body. He loves belly rubs and did great meeting other dogs.  Valentino is not fixed yet but he will be soon and will be microchipped. He is up to date on vaccines. Valentino tested positive for heartworm and will require treatment which includes 30 days of an oral antibiotic, 2 visits to Barnegat Animal Clinic and 30 days of restricted activity. Wag On Inn will pay for his treatment.  His adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. Albuquerque (Albie for short) is a very loving, happy-go-lucky 3-year-old Bassett Hound mix who will love being part of your family. Albie is a fast learner, is energetic (and small) for his breed, inquisitive, and drawn to other dogs like him. He loves to go on long walks, especially if they are in the great outdoors and behaves well on a leash. Albie is quickly learning home routines of when to go out, when it is time to play, and when it's best to relax and nap. He does well in a crate and loves chew toys, often amassing several at once. Best of all, Albie is quick with affection and loves to lay with people, especially children on the couch. You'll receive plenty of kisses and snuggles from this little guy and that is what he wants most in life. Albie will likely do well as an only dog but will thrive with other dogs he can play and lay with.
