Story
Meet Shautae!  This shortstack of sweetness wants your help finding a forever family. Shautae, we we affectionately call Taetae and Shorty, is an absolutely adorable mixed breed with an estimated birthday of 09/01/2020. There has been some debate amoung our staff about what breed she is, but we have settled on a Pointer-Basset hound mix, weighing in aroudn 45lbs. What Shorty lack in height, she more than makes up for in her loving personality. Shorty makes friends as easy as pie, and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who wasn't charmed by her tiny little legs. If you were to ask our staff about some of Taetae's favorite things, they would probably tell you how much she loves to lounge in the sun! This beautiful girl will take every chance she can get to lay out on one of her beds in the sunshine and catch some rays. Shautae also loves the company of other dogs, but as always we require a meet and greet if you already have any at home. She is suited to a home without cats. Shautae does great with kids around 10yr and up, but younger kids tend to stress her out, so a home without little ones is best.    Interested? Call us at 615-446-7387 ##2172428##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Charlotte — a true gem of a dog and the ultimate couch-potato cuddle bug! At around 2 years old and 47 lbs, Charlotte is the perfect blend of calm, sweet, and low-maintenance. She came to us pregnant, lovingly raised her puppies, and now that they’re weaned and she’s been fully cleared by our vet, Charlotte is finally ready for a family of her own. Charlotte enjoys short bursts of play but is mostly happiest curled up next to you on the couch or perched by a window watching the birds. She’s potty trained and leash trained. She would do best in a home with someone who is home a lot, especially while she settles in and builds confidence in a new environment. She does not do well with crating and will need a home where she is not confined to a crate. Charlotte is very dog-friendly and would thrive in a home with another dog for companionship. She finds comfort in canine friends, and as an only dog her foster could see her potentially developing separation anxiety simply because she bonds so deeply. Charlotte hasn’t lived with children, but she’s incredibly chill and non-reactive, even when her foster gently tested ears and tail handling. She could do well with respectful kids. She does have a high prey drive when it comes to squirrels, birds, and critters, so she’s not a good fit for a home with cats. If you’re looking for an easy, affectionate, low-maintenance companion who wants nothing more than to be near her people, Charlotte will be an incredible match. She’s a loyal, loving girl who will make someone very, very lucky. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.&#226&#156&#168 Meet Porter! &#226&#156&#168 Porter was born in late September 2025, and he’s one of those pups who instantly wins you over with his charm. He’s built more like a Bassett — shorter legs, a solid little body, and an overall irresistible look that makes people fall in love fast. Porter is friendly, social, and loves being around his people. He’s the type who happily crawls into your lap or leans in for cuddles any chance he gets. Porter is working on his potty training in his foster home and doing well with a consistent routine. He enjoys playing with his siblings, exploring new things, and then settling in for snuggles once he's had his fun. If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing pup who’s as sweet as he is adorable, Porter might be the perfect fit for your family. Medical Notes: Will be neutered before adoption.  Weight  Vaccinated Dewormed Microchipped Maintained on monthly preventions Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 16, 2025, 10:36 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.&#226&#156&#168 Meet Piper! &#226&#156&#168 Born in late September, Piper is an adorable Bassett Hound/Lab mix — that’s our best guess based on her looks and her sweet personality! Piper has the longer legs of a Lab compared to some of her littermates, giving her a unique and charming look. She’s currently working on her potty training in her foster home and is making great progress. This little girl can be a bit shy at first, but once she warms up, her loving and gentle personality shines. She’s a sweet, cuddly pup who just needs a little reassurance and patience to blossom. If you’re looking for a precious young pup with a soft heart and tons of potential, Piper might be your perfect match! Medical Notes: Spayed before adoption. Story
This sweet boy is ready to go home! Bittersweet for us, he has been a joy and we'll surely miss him. But looking forward to seeing him live his best life with a wonderful family/person. He has a gentle and loving, energy. He would be happiest with a person who is home most of the time, he seems to have slight separation anxiety but does well if there's another dog to keep him company. Poe would love nothing more to cuddle with you! Does great on car rides also! He does well with the Kitties too! Not so much chickens tho, but that maybe trainable as he is fairly young. Gets along with all dogs too! We believe he is mixed with basset hound or maybe beagle, possibly lab. He is rather small (knee high)! More pics and video coming soon!
