Story
🎄🧝‍♂️ Greetings from the North Pole… and meet ELF! 🧝‍♂️🎄 Hi ho ho! I’m Elf, a very special Basset–Lab mix boy sent straight from Santa’s workshop to spread cheer and love all year long. I may be short in stature, but don’t let these adorable little legs fool you, my heart is extra large and overflowing with sweetness. I’m as friendly as an elf can be! I get along wonderfully with other dogs, love making new friends, and I’m always ready to share smiles, snuggles, and tail wags. My superpower? Making humans laugh just by walking across the room (these legs are festive magic). I promise to be your most loyal helper, whether that’s warming your feet, following you around the house, or reminding you that joy comes in small, wiggly packages. 🎁 If your home is missing a little Christmas magic, I’m ready to report for duty. Adopt Elf and let the merriment begin! ✨🐾 P.S. No toy assembly required — just love. 💚

Story
Meet Shautae!  This shortstack of sweetness wants your help finding a forever family. Shautae, we we affectionately call Taetae and Shorty, is an absolutely adorable mixed breed with an estimated birthday of 09/01/2020. There has been some debate amoung our staff about what breed she is, but we have settled on a Pointer-Basset hound mix, weighing in aroudn 45lbs. What Shorty lack in height, she more than makes up for in her loving personality. Shorty makes friends as easy as pie, and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who wasn't charmed by her tiny little legs. If you were to ask our staff about some of Taetae's favorite things, they would probably tell you how much she loves to lounge in the sun! This beautiful girl will take every chance she can get to lay out on one of her beds in the sunshine and catch some rays. Shautae also loves the company of other dogs, but as always we require a meet and greet if you already have any at home. She is suited to a home without cats. Shautae does great with kids around 10yr and up, but younger kids tend to stress her out, so a home without little ones is best.    Interested? Call us at 615-446-7387 ##2172428##

Good with dogs,
Story
We’ve learned a lot about Spot (aka Boone) over the Holidays.*To him, cats = big squirrels = hunt*Children = I like them, they do tend to spook me more than adults (loud or rushed movements), but that just means I retreat and have to warm back up.*Car rides are a breeze (up to 2.5 hrs tested), *IF* he’s buckled in rather than crated. We are still welcoming all tricks for separation anxiety, though we had a major success, we have not yet been able to fully replicate it. Truly seems to be about the only snag behaviorally. He’s polite, playful, no aggression to humans with lots of exposure, minds variable house rules well, and can be chill or active depending on the vibe of the day/person. **New Year, New Me — Spot’s 2025 Pupdate!** Hi friends! I’m **Spot**, (AKA Boone) ringing in the New Year with a tail wag and a fresh pupdate I settled into my new place *fast*—like, faster-than-you-can-open-a-treat-bag fast. My food giver works from home, which is perfect because I’m not a fan of alone time (not even a little). On the rare times he heads out, I’ve started a new anxiety medicine and it’s helping me feel much more at ease. New year, calmer vibes Here’s how I’m spending my days: Daily sniffari patrols of the neighborhood (especially *my* very important log) Competitive-level squeaky ball destruction Professional couch lounging, especially when it’s rainyBig milestone to celebrate: **zero indoor accidents**. Not once. A New Year miracle if there ever was one Social updates: I’ve been introduced to a couple of dogs and did well! We’ve learned that slow, on-leash walks are the key—and sometimes it takes two tries. With people, I’m a bit timid at first, but I warm up quickly and then I’m all about the attention.Quick stats for the record: Around **10 months old** **35 pounds** of New Year’s joyAll in all, life is feeling pretty great, and I’m excited to see what 2025 brings. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a couch to guard and a squeaky ball that absolutely will not defeat itself. Love,**Spot** Apply online: https://www.russellrescuetn.com/adoption-applicationAlready approved? Email: Russellrescuetn@gmail.com Adoption fee: **$300** — includes vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm test, microchip, ID collar, leash, and harness January 2, 2026, 12:35 am
