Meet Peter! Professional napper, belly-rub enthusiast, and certified good boy. Peter is a 9-year-old Basset mix who spent years living on the streets of South Texas. These days, he’s discovered the finer things in life: soft beds, sunny spots, short walks, car rides, and plenty of love. This cuddly gentleman adores his people. When he’s not snoozing, you can usually find Peter following his human from room to room, making sure he isn’t missing anything important (especially belly rubs). Peter is incredibly friendly with people and loves playing with other dogs. Don’t let his age fool you, he still enjoys making dog friends, going on car rides, and having some fun! He also does well with most cats. His perfect day is simple: a short stroll, some sunbathing, a good nap (or three), and plenty of time cuddled up with his favorite person. Eventually, she’ll come up on her own and happily accept some pets. Because she finds so much comfort and confidence in other dogs, we believe Sunny would thrive in a home with a canine companion. She does wonderfully with all kinds of dogs… even the rambunctious ones who sometimes forget about personal space! She is patient, respectful, and incredibly tolerant. Meet Delta, Looking at her pictures, you'd never know she came in looking like a train wreck. This poor dog lived on the streets for years and she sure looked it when she came in. She has BB pellets all over her body but the vet said they are bot hurting anything and to leave them alone. Thankfully, those days are behind her now and she is ready to roll on to the next chapter. Delta is a around 7 yrs old (as of Oct 2026)and weighs apx 53 lbs and she is very true to her breed. She is a stubborn Basset Hound who will keep you laughing every day. We enjoy her antics around here and love watching her and her boyfriend Mack play. Delta is picky enough about her friends that we have decided to look for a home where she is the only dog or if you're in the market for 2 dogs, adopt her buddy Mack with her. This handsome boy is approximately 6 months old and we believe he may be a Black Mouth Cur/Basset Hound mix, although we aren't completely sure of his breed. Boomer is such a sweet, easygoing pup with a wonderful personality! He absolutely loves being around people and other dogs and enjoys being part of the family. He's doing amazing in his foster home and has already shown just how smart he is! A little more about Boomer: - Great with other dogs- He loves following his foster family's dogs around and playing with them. - Wonderful on walks- Boomer walks right beside you without pulling on the leash and loves stopping to say hello to people. - Smart and learning quickly- By his third day in his foster home, he had already figured out how to use the doggie door all by himself! - Sweet and affectionate- Boomer loves attention, enjoys having company and just wants to be part of the family.
