**Meet Tina!** 💛 If you're looking for a laid-back companion who has perfected the art of relaxing, Tina is your girl. This sweet, independent, and delightfully goofy Basset Hound mix is happiest when she's soaking up the sunshine, enjoying a leisurely walk, or snoozing beside you on the couch. And when she's in the mood for cuddles, she'll happily curl up next to you for some quality snuggle time. Tina has plenty of personality! She's an excellent neighborhood watch captain who will let you know when a package arrives, and squirrels are her greatest rivals. She's also incredibly food motivated, making her eager to learn and easy to win over with a tasty treat. She enjoys tug toys, Kongs, lick mats, and leisurely adventures with her favorite people. Around new friends, Tina is affectionate and welcoming—she loves saying hello with a few kisses before settling in for some well-earned relaxation. She enjoys other dogs who respect her space, but she'd be happiest as the only pet or with another calm, easygoing canine companion who matches her mellow lifestyle. House-trained and comfortable relaxing at home while you're away, Tina is ready to enjoy her golden years with a family who appreciates life's simple pleasures. A quiet home where she can spend her days sunbathing, taking walks, and sharing the couch with someone special would be her dream come true. If you're searching for a loyal best friend with a gentle heart and the perfect balance of independence and affection, Tina can't wait to meet you.

Story
Delta, Looking at her pictures, you'd never know she came in looking like a train wreck. This poor dog lived on the streets for years and she sure looked it when she came in. Those days are behind her now and she is ready to roll on to the next chapter. Delta is a around 6 yrs old and weighs close to 50 lbs and she is very true to her breed. She is a stubborn Basset Hound who will keep you laughing every day. We enjoy her antics around here and love watching her and her boyfriend Mack play. Delta was treated for heartworms and is currently being treated for Chagas disease. Don't let that worry you.... she is doing great and strong as a bull. She is doing great on treatment! She gets along best with male dogs but can coexisit with male or female if its the right dog.
Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular Deworming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip

Breed listings are our best guess, based on appearance.

Available in TX only! King is a one year old Basset Hound/Lab mix with a gentle soul and a laid back nature. He is still gaining confidence and can be scared of new things, especially loud noises, but once he feels safe he settles in nicely. When he gets excited he can be a little jumpy, though most of the time he is calm and easygoing. King truly enjoys running around the yard, going on walks, and soaking up outdoor time. He has a playful side and loves playing fetch with frisbees and balls. Tug of war is another favorite game, and he is a big fan of chew time. Knuckle bones, hard chew toys for power chewers, and anything he can safely gnaw on make him very happy. King is crate trained and house trained, which makes him an easy addition to a home. King does have a prey drive and enjoys chasing squirrels and frogs, and he will chase cats, so a cat free home is recommended. He also has a sensitive stomach and does best on sensitive stomach dog food. King would thrive in a patient, understanding home that will give him time to build confidence and continue showing him the world is a safe place. With love and consistency, he will be a loyal and loving companion. To apply directly for King, push the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-751 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy’s team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home.
