Meet Peter! Professional napper, belly-rub enthusiast, and certified good boy. Peter is a 9-year-old Basset mix who spent years living on the streets of South Texas. These days, he’s discovered the finer things in life: soft beds, sunny spots, short walks, car rides, and plenty of love. This cuddly gentleman adores his people. When he’s not snoozing, you can usually find Peter following his human from room to room, making sure he isn’t missing anything important (especially belly rubs). Peter is incredibly friendly with people and loves playing with other dogs. Don’t let his age fool you, he still enjoys making dog friends, going on car rides, and having some fun! He also does well with most cats. His perfect day is simple: a short stroll, some sunbathing, a good nap (or three), and plenty of time cuddled up with his favorite person. After spending so many years surviving on his own, Peter deserves a home where he can spend the rest of his days feeling safe, spoiled, and loved. Meet Delta, Looking at her pictures, you'd never know she came in looking like a train wreck. This poor dog lived on the streets for years and she sure looked it when she came in. She has BB pellets all over her body but the vet said they are bot hurting anything and to leave them alone. Thankfully, those days are behind her now and she is ready to roll on to the next chapter. Delta is a around 7 yrs old (as of Oct 2026)and weighs apx 53 lbs and she is very true to her breed. She is a stubborn Basset Hound who will keep you laughing every day. We enjoy her antics around here and love watching her and her boyfriend Mack play. Delta is picky enough about her friends that we have decided to look for a home where she is the only dog or if you're in the market for 2 dogs, adopt her buddy Mack with her.
