Available in TX only! King is a one year old Basset Hound/Lab mix with a gentle soul and a laid back nature. He is still gaining confidence and can be scared of new things, especially loud noises, but once he feels safe he settles in nicely. When he gets excited he can be a little jumpy, though most of the time he is calm and easygoing. King truly enjoys running around the yard, going on walks, and soaking up outdoor time. He has a playful side and loves playing fetch with frisbees and balls. Tug of war is another favorite game, and he is a big fan of chew time. Knuckle bones, hard chew toys for power chewers, and anything he can safely gnaw on make him very happy. King is crate trained and house trained, which makes him an easy addition to a home. King does have a prey drive and enjoys chasing squirrels and frogs, and he will chase cats, so a cat free home is recommended. He also has a sensitive stomach and does best on sensitive stomach dog food, as treats like milk bones do not agree with him. King would thrive in a patient, understanding home that will give him time to build confidence and continue showing him the world is a safe place. Delta, Looking at her pictures, you'd never know she came in looking like a train wreck. This poor dog lived on the streets for years and she sure looked it when she came in. Those days are behind her now and she is ready to roll on to the next chapter. Delta is a around 6 yrs old and weighs close to 50 lbs and she is very true to her breed. She is a stubborn Basset Hound who will keep you laughing every day. We enjoy her antics around here and love watching her and her boyfriend Mack play. Delta was treated for heartworms and is currently being treated for Chagas disease. Don't let that worry you.... she is doing great and strong as a bull. She is doing great on treatment! She gets along best with male dogs but can coexisit with male or female if its the right dog.

It`s like every step is a new opportunity to explore the world and discover something new. And if you really want to get my attention, just bring along some tasty treats. I can`t resist a good snack!Believe it or not, I`m a lot smaller than you might think. But what I lack in size, I make up for in heart. And when it comes to riding in a car, I`m an absolute pro. I love feeling the wind in my fur and watching the world go by outside.Ask anyone who knows me and they`ll tell you what a good boy I am. I walk beautifully on a leash and always listen to the humans that I know and trust. I may be slow and steady, but I`m also reliable and trustworthy - a true friend for life. Meet Celine! Celine is a 2 year old, 41-pound Hound/ Basset Hound mix low rider with a gentle heart and a nose that never misses a good treat! She can be a little shy when first meeting new people but give her some space and time—sit down with a tasty snack and you will find her standing next to you, looking at you with those sad puppy hound eyes—and you’ll quickly win her over. Once she feels comfortable, her playful personality truly shines through! This sweet girl loves to follow her nose, explore her surroundings, and has a great time playing with other dogs, doing zoomies, throwing toys around and surprisingly, she did great and passed the cat test here at the rescue! Celine would love to be your loyal, affectionate companion whose always ready for walks so she can use that hound nose, but more importantly she wants stability and her very own home. That is her greatest wish!
