Story
He and his mom came to me when they got evicted for breeding in the rental, his mom and siblings adopted out quickly. For whatever reason no one really took a shine to him. He eventually got adopted out, once, but he had pink diarrhea the first night from the transition stress and it scared the adopters so they returned him. I have a soft spot for him so I didn’t really make an effort until now to search for his forever family. He’s a really easy and gentle tempered dog. He gets along with everybody and everything, though he is at times shy around new people, especially when he’s in a new environment too.

Story
Meet Meatball, an adorable pup who’s stealing hearts with his charm. We think he may have some Basset Hound in him—a breed known for being sweet-tempered, affectionate, and gentle. Meatball is quickly making doggy friends here at the Refuge. We believe that this handsome, happy guy can be a wonderful companion for an active human or family. Meatball makes a small play move to show newcomer Crumb that he wants to be friends: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tADIcZSOwFM&pp=0gcJCeAJAYcqIYzv To set up a no-obligation "meet and greet" with Meatball, please go to wimberleywagrescue.org and fill out an application.

Story
Delta, Looking at her pictures, you'd never know she came in looking like a train wreck. This poor dog lived on the streets for years and she sure looked it when she came in. Those days are behind her now and she is ready to roll on to the next chapter. Delta is a around 6 yrs old and weighs close to 50 lbs and she is very true to her breed. She is a stubborn Basset Hound who will keep you laughing every day. We enjoy her antics around here and love watching her and her boyfriend Mack play. Delta was treated for heartworms and is currently being treated for Chagas disease. Don't let that worry you.... she is doing great and strong as a bull. She is doing great on treatment! She gets along best with male dogs but can coexisit with male or female if its the right dog.
Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular Deworming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip

Breed listings are our best guess, based on appearance.

Story
Delta is a strong-willed 5-6 year-old who weighs 48 pounds. She is like a Mack truck with short, stubby legs. She is stubborn and as strong as an ox. Think Basset Hound with a mystery twist Delta was found on the streets of the Rio Grande Valley, with scars all over her body. She had a hard life which made her the tough dog that she is. She has an old hip injury that doesn't alter her ability to walk or run. She has been through a lot and is ready for her forever home. She will require a tough owner that is willing to train her and make her the best dog she can be. Are you just as stubborn and want things to go your way? If so, then Delta is the gal for you ! She is loving, but would do best in a home where she can be the only dog with her person. She told us she prefers to be spoiled and live her life in the AC on a couch without other dogs to bother her. She will keep you laughing with her crazy antics. She will give you endless loyalty, laughs and love. She is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular Deworming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip **Breed listings are our best guess, based on appearance.** If you’d like to make this dog part of your family, please review our adoption process and complete an application here: https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt Learn more about our rescue here: https://www.facebook.com/TracysPawsRescue Delta tested positive for Chagas disease and has already started treatment. With treatment, Chagas is fully curable, and dogs go on to live long, happy lives. Tracy’s Paws is one of the first rescues to test every dog for Chagas, and we’ve had measurable success with our treatment protocol. We are also committed to educating adopters and the public about Chagas so even more. Delta tested positive for heartworms and has been treated.

Story
In a world where everyone is always in such a rush, I prefer to take my time and savor every moment. I believe slow and steady wins the race, and that`s why I`m not one to rush into anything. But don`t let my laid-back attitude fool you - once I get to know you, I can be the most loving and loyal companion you`ve ever met.One of my favorite things to do is go for walks that lead to new smells and adventures. It`s like every step is a new opportunity to explore the world and discover something new. And if you really want to get my attention, just bring along some tasty treats. I can`t resist a good snack!Believe it or not, I`m a lot smaller than you might think. But what I lack in size, I make up for in heart. And when it comes to riding in a car, I`m an absolute pro. I love feeling the wind in my fur and watching the world go by outside.Ask anyone who knows me and they`ll tell you what a good boy I am. I walk beautifully on a leash and always listen to the humans that I know and trust. I may be slow and steady, but I`m also reliable and trustworthy - a true friend for life. So why not take a chance on me and let me show you what a wonderful companion I can be?

Story
Meet Pippa! Love short basset hound legs? Then you will love sweet Pippa! Pippa is a basset hound mix with perfectly short and stocky legs. Paired with those gorgeous amber eyes, freckles, and silky hound ears, Pippa is such a pretty hound! She is such a sweet girl, too! Pippa adores other dogs and would thrive with a pack of her own. She especially loves to rough house and would love to have another tumble buddy. Pippa is very friendly meeting new people and eager to greet guests. She loves her foster family dearly but does not have separation anxiety. She does great in her crate when her family departs and sleeps in her crate at night. We rescued Pippa and her precious puppy Paddington a few weeks ago from a shelter near the border. Paddington is now 8 weeks, and it is time to find both of them their forever home. Please stay tuned as we learn more about her.

Story
Riff is a shy but oh-so-sweet Beagle mix looking for a soft spot to land. He came from a home with many dogs, so he gets along well with other pups and kids, and he enjoys playing in water and hanging out outside. Riff just needs a little extra time to warm up to new people, but once he feels safe, his affectionate side shines through. He isn’t house or crate trained yet, but he’s a smart boy who’s ready to learn with some guidance.
