Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, I'm Garbanzo! I'm a 3-year-old, 40-pound Basset Hound mix, and I'm looking for a loving home where I can relax and enjoy some cuddles. I'm crate trained, though I might whine for a few minutes before settling in. Once I get comfy, I'm good to go. I'm also potty and dog door trained.   I'm a calm and chill guy, and I'm great on a leash, so l'd love to go on some leisurely walks with you. Afterward, I'm totally up for a cozy nap. I'm good with other dogs and I get along well with kids over 8 years old. If you're looking for a sweet, low-energy companion who enjoys a good cuddle and a walk, then I think we'd make the perfect pair. Apply to meet me today at  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplicationVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 8, 2025, 7:34 pm

Story
Trixie is a special needs basset. Rescued dogs frequently arrive with a lot of unanswered questions. We and our vets think Trixie was born with a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia or CH. A part of her brain did not fully develop leaving her with balance issues, difficulty judging distance, and clumsiness to the point where walking is really not an option for her. Even with all her challenges, she is able to get around the house and navigate a couple of steps. She can pretty much get anywhere she wants to go. After trying Trixie in both a 2- and 4-wheel cart, we have started to investigate a modified cart specifically for CH dogs. She is too wobbly to use the 2- and 4-wheel carts. Aside from this condition, Trixie is happy and healthy. She does great with other dogs (although she doesn't play) and is expected to have a normal lifespan. Our vet suggests that her coordination could benefit from some regular physical therapy. We plan to start that just after the first of the year when things slow down a bit. If you are interested in Trixie, please give UFBH a call and/or fill out the application and talk with us about her condition.

Story
There is no way to explain how wonderful this beautiful boy is; he's a perfect gentleman who makes lovely eye contact when you talk to him. A gentle soul who is cuddly and fun to be around. Chief tested heartworm positive and is currently being treated. We have successfully treated many Bassets who come into our care with heartworm. Heartworm is transmitted by mosquito bite and he is not contagious. Utah Friends of Basset Hounds will cover his medical expenses throughout his treatment.

Boone is such a Basset! Talk about personality; he's always wanting to know what's going on--with everyone! He's very ready to have someone teach him some “good dog" behavior. He is bonded to Myra and we are looking for a family to adopt and keep them together. They really do compliment each other quite nicely. We do require a fenced yard.

Story
Lenny is one of two "Bagel" (Beagle/Basset mix) boys that came to us after being abandoned on the side of a road. A fellow rescuer saw him and his friend literally dumped out of a car in front of her. Both boys are safe and sound now and ready to meet their Forever Family. At first, we thought they were bonded but it turns out they don't actually like each other at all. Lenny is great with other dogs and people; charming and fun to have around!

Story
If your taste says designer, but your heart says rescue- you’re in for a treat! We think Kelley is a Beagle, Dauchshund mix, aka the cutest mix you could possibly imagine!! She is a rescue, so this is of course a guess- but the cuteness is undeniable. She’s estimated to be around 7 years old, and weighs in at 36 pounds. Fall in love with Kelley here: https://youtu.be/BTDBRS5wzok?feature=shared Kelley is a cutie through and through, her favorite place to be is anywhere comfy. She’s a big fan of couches, bean bag chairs and dog beds. She can be a snuggle bug with the humans she loves most, and she doesn’t mind being picked up and held. A true lapdog type! At an estimated seven years old, Kelley has already learned the ropes, and she’s a ready-made good dog! She doesn’t have indoor potty accidents, and she walks perfectly on the leash. She enjoys a daily walk around the neighborhood with her foster brother Charlie. She can be a little shy with new people, but gentle voices, walks, and patience are the key to her heart. Once you’ve won her over, you have a friend for life! She’s besties with her dog-walker Nathan, who understandably adores her right back. Within a few minutes of meeting me, she let me pet her and even came back for seconds. Kelley is dog friendly, and BFFs with a Chihuahua mix half her size. The two have the sweetest friendship, bouncing around each other with wagging tails every time they meet. She’s a little shy with newer dogs, slow and sweet intros are the foundation for a good friendship with Kelley. She currently lives with a larger male dog, Charlie, and enjoys being is boss. LOL!! She isn't playful with him and prefers the people more in the family. When she wants her 11 year old human friend to love on her, she nuzzles his hand with her head and cuddles in close. Kelley is a gem and lives with a foster cat, too. She gets very curious about the kitty, so a home without feline friends is best. If Kelley could have a home with a dog, she would prefer playing with female dogs and small dogs at her home. Kelley has her bags packed and she’s ready for her forever home. She’s an older medium energy lady, and ready for retirement in a home on the calmer side. While she could live with other dogs, she’s also people-loving enough to thrive as an only dog. We are willing to test Kelley with anything you needin order to ensure she is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!
