Cash is a troubled young basset hound. In spite of his handsome exterior, he is full of issues. We're not sure what his background was like but he is reactive to any kind of discipline. He will require a very seasoned dog owner; a patient person to be able to safely handle this guy. He will need someone that can read his body language and respond accordingly. He can be sweet and loving or suddenly feel challenged and react with hostility. Absolutely NO CHILDREN.

Meet Penelope! Penelope is the kind of dog who makes you feel like her favorite person from the moment she meets you. This adorable basset-husky mix is 100% sweetheart. Penelopes favorite things are people, belly rubs, and snuggles. She absolutely loves being petted and will happily accept every bit of affection you have to give. She is also a fan of toys, leisurely walks, and, most importantly, plenty of naps. She has a wonderful balance of playful and relaxed, making her a great companion for someone who wants a dog who can enjoy an adventure but is equally happy curling up at home afterward.Penelope loves walks! On walks, Penelope likes to take her time and really experience the world—especially through her nose! She loves stopping to investigate all the interesting smells along the way. Penelope can be a little cautious when meeting other dogs, but she typically warms up and gets along well with them. She could also live with a cat, particularly a dog-savvy cat who won’t mind her occasional attempts to chase if they run away. Her intentions seem to be much more “Come play with me!” than anything else. She rarely ever barks, only if she’s startled and sometimes announces when someone comes to the door. She loves treats, and is food motivated! Already she has learned how to lay down.But really, Penelopes greatest talent is being incredibly sweet. She is affectionate, gentle, adorable, and happiest when she gets to spend time with her people. She may not be the dog who immediately catches your eye, but we think the person who takes the time to meet her is going to feel incredibly lucky. Penelope is ready to find her forever family—and she has so much love to give. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200.
