Story
Otto was abandoned and found at a local business that dropped him off and promised to find him a home. Once he came here we never heard back from them. He is a really good boy but stressed out at the rescue. He enjoys his walks, and has met other dogs but probably should be your one and only. He will need a kind and patient adopter to allow him to adjust. He loves people!

Lacie is a sweet playful pup. She is very much still a puppy. She is silly and full of love and affection. She does like to cuddle after she has gotten rid of all of her energy. She loves to play fetch and will even return the items to play again. She is not house trained yet, but she is crate trained. She will need someone to teach her the ropes of being a great dog. She was not in a safe environment before finding a safe space. Please meet this sweet girl, Lacie! Story
MEET  RALPHIE!!! aka Ralph Lauren, because I am one stylish pup!!  This sweet boy is only 3 years old, and is good with other Dogs, Kids, Cats, and all people! He is friendly, outgoing, and loves to play. But cuddling on the couch is also just his speed. He's already house broken and kennel trained. We do think that this sweet boy should be adopted into a home with another dog, as he would love to have a buddy to roll around on the floor with!  Ralphie is a great car rider and excellent at riding co-pilot! Story
Beautiful Heidi Klum is a 6 year old, 37 lb, Beagle mix, who arrived with us from a county facility after being found as a stray. Her New Year's resolution is to lose a few pounds, so she's looking for an accountability partner who will work on it with her! She has excellent leash manners, which should help! This sweet girl has a constant tail wag, and enjoys the company of other dogs, although she seems most interested in her people. She has some touch sensitivity on her hips, which we're hoping will be helped by losing a few pounds, so if there will be children in her forever home, they should be 8+ years old.To get started on the adoption process, visit https://azfriends.org/testing/adopt.html to complete an adoption consultation form, and then stop by the Adoption Center to meet with one of our adoption counselors. Or you can just come and see us and fill out a consultation form upon arrival! No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the animal. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
Gentle, mellow, and affectionate Cow is as easygoing as they come! She loves being with people and has been slow and careful when meeting other dogs. At home, she’s a laid-back companion who enjoys napping with her humans or sunbathing in a cozy spot. Belly rubs are her absolute favorite, and she’ll happily roll over the moment you give her attention. She’s fully housebroken, doesn’t use a crate, and can be trusted alone in the home (though she’d rather not eat when she’s by herself). She always lets you know when she needs to go outside.?? Day Trip Highlights Grade: A+- Cuddled with kids for a movie night (ages 7 & 9)- Three words that describe her: sweet, calm, well-behavedKid-friendly, polite, and doesn’t jump on people or furniture- Sociable and fun, loves the outdoors, and happiest when relaxing with her people- This gentle soul is the perfect mix of affectionate and easygoing. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who’s great with kids and thrives on sunshine and belly rubs, she’s your girl!
