Story
Seamus is a 50/50 Beabull from an Amish farmer in Illinois. We wanted to get a puppy mate for our other Beabull. Unfortunately this created stress with her, and she has become aggressive with our beagle. He knows sit, stay and wait for his meals. He loves to play ball and will need training for walks. He is very treat oriented for good training. We want him to go to a person that will socialize him more and are more active than we are. He loves to cuddle on your lap.

Story
Beautiful Heidi Klum is a 6 year old, 37 lb, Beagle mix, who arrived with us from a county facility after being found as a stray. Her New Year's resolution is to lose a few pounds, so she's looking for an accountability partner who will work on it with her! She has excellent leash manners, which should help! This sweet girl has a constant tail wag, and enjoys the company of other dogs, although she seems most interested in her people. She has some touch sensitivity on her hips, which we're hoping will be helped by losing a few pounds, so if there will be children in her forever home, they should be 8+ years old.To get started on the adoption process, visit https://azfriends.org/testing/adopt.html to complete an adoption consultation form, and then stop by the Adoption Center to meet with one of our adoption counselors. Or you can just come and see us and fill out a consultation form upon arrival! No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the animal. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
Gertie was adopted from the county shelter in late December. She is absolutely wonderful with her humans, but unfortunately, she cannot be around the other household pet (an older male dog) despite training and having been separated since she was adopted. She is young and needs some structure and training, but is house trained, knows how to use a dog door, plays with toys, and loves to snuggle with a fuzzy blanket. However, she is currently reactive to other dogs in public (though, she does well in the structure group class she's been in) and she needs to be the only dog in the home as she has shown aggression to our other pet. This is our ONLY issue with her. We are devastated at not being able to keep her. Please help. Note that the adoption fee is only included for her safety and will be donated in its entirety to a rescue organization.

Story
Stormy - Adoptable • Stormy is a youthful 2-year-old beagle. Which translates to -- a very, very energetic, mischievous cat-hating young dog who has no trouble jumping over a 4ft fence. • Absolutely NO cats for this little girl. • She is crate trained (though she doesn't like it) and potty trained with a doggie door. • Stormy absolutely loves to test her boundaries, and she will surprise you in how respectful she can be with them if you gently enforce the boundaries. • except when it comes to food. Yes, she is one of those dogs who has no problem jumping on a table if there is food (which includes crumbs) on it. Note that counter surfing and table jumping are classic beagle traits. • She currently lives with 6 other dogs who keep her energy level tolerable. • Stormy is a young girl who wants to be loved and loves to cuddle with you. At the same time, she is also very independent. • She loves when you praise her and she remembers what she did so she can be praised for it again. Very important Keynote. • She has a reputation as a digger and has dug her way out of a fenced yard that didn't have a footer. Hint: Whatever type of fence you have, it needs to have a footer. • Gates in the backyard should have a heavy bottom pipe if there is no footer and the gaps around the gate should be small. • Beagles have a reputation of being door dashers. Stormy's current foster has a porch with a small fence that she can jump. She has learned to only go out on the porch when invited. This habit of only inviting her to go through a door will need to be continued in her new home. Her adoption fee is $300.00. If you are interested in adopting Stormy, Please go to our website, read our FAQs, and fill out an application and her foster mom will be in touch. https://soazbeaglerescue.com/ This dog's adoption fee is a minimum $300.00 donation to help us save more dogs. Southern Arizona Beagle Rescue, SoAZBR is an all-volunteer group. One hundred percent of your donation is used for the care and treatment needy beagles. Your donation is 100% tax deductible, too. We URGENTLY need fosters so we can help save more dogs. If you can help, please contact us.
