Story
Meet Skittles, a sweet, spunky 3-year-old with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Skittles has quite the story. He came to us with a significant wound on his leg, but he’s healed up beautifully and is now just waiting for his fur to grow back in. Through it all, he’s stayed resilient, happy, and full of life. This silly boy is equal parts playful and affectionate. He loves to show off his “sit” skills—especially when treats are involved (which he absolutely adores). Skittles walks wonderfully on a leash and makes a great walking companion, whether it’s a quick stroll or a longer adventure. He gets along great with other dogs and brings a fun, energetic vibe wherever he goes. While he may take a minute to warm up to new people, once he does, he’s all about love—especially if that means curling up in your lap for some quality cuddle time. If you’re looking for a loyal, goofy, treat-loving companion who will keep you smiling, Skittles might just be your perfect match.Breed is based on physical features. All shelter animals are considered to be a mixture of breeds.

Story
Myles is an adorable beagle mix puppy with a nose for adventure and a heart full of love. He was originally found as a stray and stayed with his finder and their 3 kids for a few weeks. They travel for work and could not keep him, so he came to stay with us. He got adopted and after 3 months his new human's health declined and they had to move into a nursing facility and could not take him, so poor Myles finds himself back at our shelter. He's very friendly, playful, impressively smart, and loves people of all ages! Myles handles grooming like a champ and is always ready for fun, cuddles, and learning new things. His estimated DOB is 10/05/2025 and on 3/18/2026 he weighed in at 10 pounds. If you're looking for a happy, curious, playful and affectionate pup Myles might be your perfect match. Come meet Myles today and give him the loving home he deserves! Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Please note that the kennels close for pet viewing at 4:30pm.

Story
Lucy is a very sweet dog. We took her in two months ago due to my grandmother's health concerns. Unfortunately Lucy and our dogs we already have do not get along. We have had to take her to the vet for some minor cuts from a fight we had to break up from playing going too far outside. She is on the mend and is taking antibiotics that will be done in a few days. We are actively trying to find her a home with someone who may have another small dog or be in a home with out other dogs. Our dogs are bigger than her and she tends to want to play too much and likes to hog the attention. She loves to play fetch and will wear you out bringing toys for you to toss. Lucy also loves to give hugs. She puts her paws and legs around you and leans in for cuddles. We would prefer the home she will be in have a fenced in yard as that is currently what she is used to. We do have some supplies for her as well. She is currently eating 4health chicken and rice from tractor supply.

Bernie was surrendered because he was chasing the neighbor`s horses. He`s on the larger side at 61 pounds but is definitely part Beagle. Bernie has been very friendly with our volunteers and a little shy with other dogs. We`ll learn more about him as we work with him.
