Meet Toga Pi, an adorable little beagle girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart! 🥰 Toga Pi is the daughter of our beautiful Suzie Q, one of the beagles rescued from Ridglan Farms in Wisconsin. But unlike her mama, who spent her life in a laboratory, Toga Pi has been surrounded by love since the day she was born! ❤️ Born and raised in a loving foster home in Illinois, this little girl has never had to experience the hardships her mama endured. Story
Penny is a 5-year-old Ridglan Farms survivor who came to us pregnant, carrying the next generation of her freedom story. She’s safe in her foster home, getting the care she needs while actually getting to raise and care for her pups. Now that her babies are going off on their own, Penny is now getting spayed to leave the past of breeding abuse behind her. She is ready to bond with her human and explore the big world of grass and sunshine. Penny is very sweet and has come a long way since her release. She used to spin in circles, but now the spins are to only when she needs to potty. She has learned potty pads and loves food. She is really food motivated. She jumps and dances for breakfast and dinner time. She is ready to start bonding with her Human and learn what life truly has to offer. She spent 5 years confined in a cage and her babies ripped away from her every litter. She was tested on as she does have the WIAE tattoo on her tummy as well. This girl needs a family that will spoil her and show her the world. Someone that will be patient as you unwire all the trauma in her brain. If you interested in meeting miss Penny, please complete an adoption application. We do require another dog to be in the home for Penny as she needs a resident dog to help teach her.

Story
From a lifetime in a laboratory cage… to finally getting the chance to be someone’s beloved family member. 🥹 Meet Suzie Q, our beautiful 5-year-old beagle rescued from Ridglan Farms in Wisconsin! Suzie is currently living with one of our wonderful foster families in Illinois, where she has been learning something that most dogs get to experience from the very beginning of their lives. How to simply be a dog. ❤️ For five years, Suzie’s world was confined to a cage. She didn’t grow up in a home, surrounded by a loving family, learning household routines, or experiencing all the little things we take for granted with our pets. But those days are behind her now. And watching her slowly discover the world has been absolutely beautiful. Today, Suzie lives with two other dogs who have become her friends, playmates, and, most importantly, her teachers! They’ve been showing her the ropes, teaching her how to play, helping her build confidence, and showing her that life outside a cage can actually be pretty wonderful. And Suzie is making incredible progress! ❤️ She’s becoming more comfortable with people and has even started approaching her foster family on her own to ask for attention! Now, Suzie is a little bit like a cat. 😂 She loves affection, but on HER terms! She’s not necessarily a dog who wants to be picked up and cuddled. She prefers to come to you when she’s ready for some love, enjoy her attention, and then go about her business. And that’s perfectly okay! After everything she’s experienced, we want Suzie to have the freedom to make those choices for herself. 🐾 A LITTLE MORE ABOUT SUZIE Q: ❤️ 5 years old 📍 Currently fostered in Illinois 🐶 Loves other dogs and enjoys playing with them 🏡 Crate trained 🐾 Still working on potty training 💕 Sweet, gentle, and continuing to build confidence ❤️ Learning to seek out human affection at her own pace HER ONE ADOPTION REQUIREMENT: 🐶 Suzie MUST have another dog in her forever home. This is nonnegotiable. Her canine companions have played such an important role in helping her adjust to life outside the laboratory. We want her to continue having that companionship, security, and guidance as she settles into her forever home. We also want to be completely transparent about potty training. Suzie spent her entire life living in a cage, so the concept of keeping her living space clean and going potty outside is something she’s only now getting the opportunity to learn. She’s making wonderful progress, but we cannot guarantee she will ever be completely potty trained. Her future family needs to understand that and be willing to love her regardless. Suzie doesn’t need a perfect home. She needs a patient, understanding, loving home that will allow her to continue becoming the dog she was always meant to be. She’s already lost five years of her life to overbreeding and torturous testing inside a laboratory. The rest of her life should be filled with companionship, kindness, playtime, soft beds, sunshine and grass between her toes and the freedom to just be Suzie Q. Five years in a cage. Now let’s give her a lifetime of love. ❤️🐾 Apply today

Story
Pat is a classic beagle mix through and through, especially when it comes to that nose of his. He loves taking in every scent on his walks and can happily spend time sniffing out all the interesting things the world has to offer. When he's excited, Pat isn't shy about sharing his feelings with a happy little howl or two. He's an easygoing guy who tends to mind his own business and enjoys doing his own thing while still being happy to hang out with his people. If treats are involved, you've definitely got his attention. Pat is incredibly food motivated and always ready to work for a snack, making him a fun companion and a great candidate for learning new things.
