Hi, I'm Amber Marie Coldnose! Yes, I know my name is a bit silly! My friends and I are from a hoarding case with around 28 dogs living in a small pen outdoors. We were all competing for resources in such a small space that we were fighting each other often and many of us are covered in scars from our time living there. We will all need some help learning how to live in a proper house, how to potty outside, how to walk on a leash. We didn't have a whole lot of interaction with people, so some of us are a bit shy, but we all want so badly to trust and be loved. With just a little bit of time and patience in the right home, we will make excellent companions!

I acquired him from PetSmart when he was about 6 months old, and he is now an 11½-year-old Beagle mix. He is a sweet, loving dog with lots of energy who enjoys being around people most of the time. Unfortunately, over the past year he has developed some resource-guarding behaviors around food, treats, and being crated. He has snapped a couple of times, including one incident where he caught my hand while I was trying to crate him after going for my son's food. I don't believe he intended to injure me, but these behaviors need to be taken seriously. He also has recurring skin issues that require ongoing care that I can no longer financially afford to keep up with. I'm looking for an experienced, patient home with the time and resources to work with him and manage his medical needs. This is a difficult decision, but I want him to have the best chance at a safe, happy life.

The program originally started to help retired racing greyhounds learn how to “dog”.Greyhound racing is now illegal in our state, but the program worked so well that they decided to open up to other rescues and accept different breeds. Each dog is teamed up with an inmate who is in their dog training program. This program allows inmates to gain an important skill that they can bring with them when they are released. The head trainers are the best of the best and we are sure that these dogs are going to come out of this program with all kinds of tricks up their little doggy sleeves. Our dogs are so blessed to be able to learn important obedience training to help with their confidence and make them awesome additions to a family.We cannot thank Greyhound Advancement Center enough for giving these dogs a leg up on getting into their forever home! The Beer Pups - Barley, Hops, and Porter The trio was surrendered to PRBJ after their family had to move from their farm to a townhouse. The boys were originally found late last summer when they were just a few weeks old. They have grown up around lots of kids, other dogs, and farm animals. They walk well on leash and are potty trained. The trio seems to be a little nervous with moving again to a new place but are starting to warm up. They are hound mixes and should not get much bigger than they are right now, making them a great fit for a family of any size. She is doing well with love and kindness and we are working on finding her a forever family. She is young. With adult teeth but possibly still under a year. Bailey will need a fenced in property as she is a flight risk. She will need a SECURED fenced in property. She is shy at first and scared to trust. Once you earn her trust she is a silly girl. She ADORES cats and loves to play with both dogs and cats. She is a happy little girl but it is evident that she has not lived a happy life before coming to us.
