Story
I acquired him from PetSmart when he was about 6 months old, and he is now an 11½-year-old Beagle mix. He is a sweet, loving dog with lots of energy who enjoys being around people most of the time. Unfortunately, over the past year he has developed some resource-guarding behaviors around food, treats, and being crated. He has snapped a couple of times, including one incident where he caught my hand while I was trying to crate him after going for my son's food. I don't believe he intended to injure me, but these behaviors need to be taken seriously. He also has recurring skin issues that require ongoing care that I can no longer financially afford to keep up with. I'm looking for an experienced, patient home with the time and resources to work with him and manage his medical needs. This is a difficult decision, but I want him to have the best chance at a safe, happy life.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Penny!Penny is a sweet girl currently working on potty training and leash walking.  She is great with people including kids.  She is a bit of a howler and does let you know that she has something to say when being left alone or when seeing something she wants to be a part of. Important Information for New Puppy Parents  Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. To help your puppy grow into a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dog, dedication to obedience training, socialization, and consistent potty training is essential.  We strongly recommend that the entire family participates in puppy training classes. This not only helps build a strong bond with your new pup but also ensures that everyone is using the same commands and techniques, creating a clear and consistent environment for learning.   **Puppies thrive with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement—and so do their families! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Wyatt!Wyatt and his companion, Waylon were found in the Ocala National Forest by a kind man and his son.  The two boys rode into Sanford in the buggy in hopes of finding a place to care for them.  The duo was full of fleas.  Unfortunately not just fleas the two tested positive for heartworms.  They also had other internal parasites.  With the guidance of our vet both dogs have begun the slow kill method for the heartworms. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 15, 2026, 11:27 am
