Story
Meet Daisy! A cheerful four-and-a-half-year-old Beagle currently in Bogue, NC, whose golden and white coat is only outshined by her endlessly affectionate heart. Daisy is the kind of companion who’s happiest simply being near you whether you're going for a morning walk, running errands, or winding down with a cozy movie night. Her mellow, low-energy nature makes her a calm and easygoing sidekick, and she's just as content curled up on the couch as she is trotting alongside you on a daily stroll. If you’ve got a tennis ball handy, Daisy’s eyes will light up, she’s always up for a gentle game of fetch before settling down for snuggles. At 60 pounds of pure love, Daisy brings a perfect balance of companionship and independence. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and knows a couple of polite tricks like “sit” and “shake.” She handles short periods alone just fine, but she’ll be overjoyed the moment you walk back through the door. She’s done wonderfully with children, from newborns to toddlers, and she’s gentle, patient, and never overwhelming. She also gets along well with other friendly dogs and would likely enjoy sharing her new home with a canine buddy. Daisy hasn’t had much experience with cats, but with proper introductions, she may adjust beautifully, her calm temperament makes her a good candidate for learning new things. She’s up to date on her vaccinations, spayed, and in great health, so she’s all set to start her next chapter! There’s something irresistibly endearing about the way Daisy leans in for cuddles, like she’s saying, “Wherever you go, I’d love to go too.” Her gentle presence, easy routine, and deep affection for her family make her the kind of dog who fills a home with warmth, comfort, and quiet joy. Could your home be the one where Daisy finds her next adventure and plenty of cuddles along the way? To learn more or meet Daisy, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com!

Story
Meet Daphne! A gentle eight-and-a-half-year-old Beagle mix currently living in Greer, SC, whose heart is as soft as her floppy ears and whose loyalty runs as deep as her soulful eyes. Draped in a charming black coat with sweet white accents, Daphne is a devoted cuddle bug who dreams of nothing more than being your constant, cozy shadow. Daphne thrives in a peaceful home where someone is around most of the day—think remote workers, retirees, or anyone who enjoys quiet companionship. Her separation anxiety is a serious part of her story, and after months of behavioral work, training, and vet consultations, it’s clear that what she truly needs is a family who can provide consistent presence and soothing routines. When left alone, her distress can be intense, so she’s seeking a calm environment with patient, loving caregivers who understand her need for reassurance. In the right setting, Daphne is a gem! She’s well-mannered, fully house-trained, crate-trained, and knows a handful of commands like “sit,” “stay,” “heel,” and “bed.” She lives harmoniously with another dog and is wonderfully sweet with kids, showing a gentle and maternal side that wins hearts fast. While she's not the high-energy fetch-and-run type, she enjoys short strolls, light dog play, and working over her favorite nylabones or crinkle toys. Plushies? Not her thing—this lady prefers her chewables with a bit more texture and durability! Daphne does have a meat allergy—she’s allergic to all meat products and derivatives—but this is easily managed with non-prescription food and treats, which her current caregiver will gladly help transition. She’s in good health, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. What makes Daphne truly special is how much love she has to give. She’s a shadow, a snuggle buddy, a quiet presence at your feet or on your couch, and she’s ready to offer that deep, loyal companionship to someone who can give her the stability she needs. Great news for potential adopters, Daphne’s adoption fee has been sponsored! Could your calm, loving home be the soft landing Daphne’s been searching for? Daphne is also open to a foster home, so if you're not ready to adopt but still want to make a difference, fostering could be a perfect fit. Story
Meet Lyndi! A lively almost two-year-old Beagle mix currently living in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, whose playful spirit and soulful eyes are ready to light up a home filled with love and patience. Wrapped in a classic tricolor coat and tipping the scales at a fit 38 pounds, Lyndi is a bundle of energy with a heart full of affection. Whether she's zipping through the yard in a game of fetch, solving treat puzzles like a canine Sherlock Holmes, or offering her signature hugs (yes, actual hugs!), Lyndi brings joy to every moment she shares. Her favorite hobbies include exploring the outdoors, playing with chew toys, and keeping her humans company. She’s the kind of companion who thrives on connection and consistency. Lyndi has completed a board-and-train program at Pet Paradise and comes with lifetime training support, so she's well-versed in commands like "heel," "climb," "free," "sit," and "stay." She's crate trained, house trained, spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. This bright girl is looking for a calm, structured home where she can be the only pet. While she may be selective around other dogs, her true magic shines when she has the full attention of a patient and loving caregiver. Loud noises and being left alone for long periods can cause her stress, so she’s most compatible with someone who works from home, is retired, or simply has plenty of time to spend with her. A fenced yard is a must, as she loves to run and sniff to her heart’s content! Lyndi has had some tough chapters in her early life and continues to show remarkable resilience. She did experience a situation involving food aggression where, during a feeding mishap with another dog, she nipped a person who reached for the bowl. Lyndi needs a gentle environment where trust can grow and positive reinforcement guides the way. But don’t let her past fool you, she’s ready to love deeply and be loved just as fiercely in return! Could you be the person who brings out Lyndi’s brightest spark and offers her the new loving home she’s been waiting for? To learn more about welcoming Lyndi into your life, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com!

WATCH MY VIDEO...Sweet Nellie came to us after her owner died and there were no family members who could take her in. Paramedics found her with her owner and brought her to another shelter. She was transferred to the Humane Society to help her find her forever home. Nellie is sweet, loving, loves belly rubs and wants to be with people. Come meet her and you can see this adorable girl for yourself. Being displaced is hard for any dog, but at ten years old, it`s even harder.
