Meet CJ…. https://dogtime.com/dog-breeds/beabull He’s a good dog and deciding to part with him has been difficult. He is a loving / caring dog; likes to be near his owner / people, but sometimes does get excited when meeting new people. Even though 3 + yrs old, he is still very active much of the time - more the Beagle. Other times he is relaxed and just chilling out / napping - more the English Bulldog. Whenever he has been boarded or has gotten to know people, all speak highly of him. Very loyal and caring; but doesn’t realize his size and strength and sometimes plays too roughly with smaller dogs. CJ would be good with a couple or family with older children that has some property; room for him to run and play and be able to relax in the sun .

Brownie is a sweet 8-year-old, 26 lb Beagle mix with a gentle soul and so much love to give. Despite everything she’s been through, she remains affectionate, trusting, and ready to find a family who will truly cherish her. Brownie was surrendered after being diagnosed with heartworm disease. We offered to cover her treatment so she could stay with her owner—but sadly, after taking her back home, somehow she ended up roaming on the side of the road the very same day. Even after that heartbreak, Brownie’s loving spirit hasn’t faded. She is housebroken, does well with kids, and gets along with most other dogs. Brownie would thrive in a calm, indoor home where she can feel safe and loved. Brownie will receive her full heartworm treatment before going to her forever home. Because of this, she will need very limited activity for several months—no running, jumping, or high-energy play while she heals. A quiet environment and a committed adopter who understands her recovery needs will be essential. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and an even bigger capacity for love, Brownie might just be your perfect match.

It’s been said that “good things come in small packages,” and we couldn’t agree more! Our favorite 20lb beagle, Vivienne is officially ready to find her forever family! Vivienne is about 8 years old and is absolutely precious. Don’t let the number 8 fool you, she still has plenty of energy and life left! Vivi loves every human , even the tiny ones. She currently lives with a 2 year old human foster, and two big dogs, who she gets along great with! Vivi is house-trained and kennel-trained, she will go in on command, and sleep through the night without a peep- okay well maybe some snores. She does have some separation anxiety but her fosters have been working on that, and Vivi has made amazing progress. Viv loves to spend her days roaming the backyard, and protecting you from squirrels. Because she’s a hound and her nose has a lot of work to do, she would do best with a secure fence. She enjoys long naps on the couch and walks to the fridge. The ideal home for this sweet girl would be with someone who is patient and understanding. We aren’t sure what Vivi went through, but she didn’t have many kind hands petting her, so she can be nervous at first. Vivi would do best with another dog to help her continue to build her confidence.

Rowdy is a little shy with new people. Shes great with all dogs she meets and would be best on a home with another dog to help her adjust. Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well. She is ready for her furever family!! Apply soon! Local adoption only $200, in TX
