Story
Banana is a 25 pound, 8 year old Beagle Mix with the most adorable face. She’s literally always smiling. She has a Perma-Grin. She’s like The Joker - but with far fewer evil schemes in the works. And she’s so incredibly sweet; she loves everyone she meets instantly, and she is always happy to cuddle !! Banana does very well with cats and dogs; she would love a playmate. She will need to have a fenced in yard. She is house trained and crate trained; but she would prefer a home with someone home most of the time. Banana is spayed and up to date on shots and her adoption fee is $175. To adopt Banana apply at  www.rescueofhope.com/adoption-application ##2005808##

Story
Roy is a beagle/husky/pit mix. He's 9 months old. Since we've had him he's become aggressive towards our Yorkie and cats. He just wants to chase after them. My Yorkie is terrified of him. The cats won't come out. He loves bigger dogs and kids. He can be kind of jumpy and nippy, but he's still a puppy. We've had him in dog obedience/ training classes and have worked with a trainer. He can't be trusted alone with little dogs or cats. We're afraid he will hurt one of them. So we've decided to try and re-home him. He will be best in a home with out small animals or cats. He loves to play soccer ball, chew on toys, kongs, he loves car rides and walks. He loves Cheerios , apple slices and raw carrots. He is microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He's crate trained, still working on the potty training, he's very smart. He has passed the basic dog training classes.

A volunteer will contact you as soon as possible. Click here to go to the online adoption form All Kalamazoo Animal Rescue dogs & puppies are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Dogs have been heartworm tested and if appropriate (age and time of year) all dogs and puppies are given heartworm preventative. All are given medication to rid them of roundworms and checked and treated for fleas & ear mites, if needed. Dogs and puppies are given distemper vaccines and depending on how long the pet has been in foster care, additional distemper vaccine(s) may be necessary and the expense will be incurred by the adopter. Any canine over 4 months of age is brought current on the Rabies vaccine. Additional vet care may have been provided depending on the particular animal's needs. Dogs are individually priced as above. Please note that we do not ship dogs and we cannot guarantee that a long trip to see a foster dog will result in an adoption or taking the dog home on that day. It is in the best interest of pooch and owner to enroll in an obedience class soon after adoption. After all, you have a lot to learn about your new friend. The Kalamazoo Dog Training Club offers a discount to owners with newly adopted dogs. Enroll before any behavior problems start - you won't regret it!
