Billy Male Beagle Mix 3 years old Meet Billy — the sweetest snuggle buddy you could ask for! This lovable beagle mix is already a total gentleman: housebroken, dog friendly, cat friendly, and perfectly content sleeping through the night (especially in bed with you). Billy’s favorite place is wherever his humans are, whether he’s following you from room to room or curled up beside you on the couch. Billy would thrive in a home that embraces his affectionate side and gives him plenty of time to cuddle. He also loves exploring outdoors and zooming around the yard, so a securely fenced backyard is key for this curious hound. He’s mostly crate-trained and happily eats his meals in his crate, which he sees as his safe space, though he currently does great free-roaming when left alone. Like any true beagle, Billy has a strong nose and a healthy interest in squirrels and bunnies. He also may try to dig, but does great with redirection/recall. Billy would do best with older children (or no kids), as younger kids can make him nervous at first, causing him to bark when startled. He can be skittish with intros with new people, but he shows no aggression. Patient introductions are key and he warms up quicker when outside. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Billy may just be your perfect match. Location: Billy is currently in a foster home. Bowie is simply the best. This sweet, friendly 14-year-old beagle found himself at an animal shelter after his 93-year-old owner, who has dementia, could no longer care for him and moved into a nursing home. Helping pets like Bowie is at the heart of our mission. Tyson's Place Animal Rescue exists to assist terminally ill people with caring for their pets and finding new families for their pets. When we learned Bowie was sitting in a shelter, we knew we had to help. We brought him into our rescue and placed him in a foster home, where he is proving every day what a wonderful companion he is. In his foster home, Bowie lives successfully with other small dogs and actually tries to get them to play with him. He is great with kids and recently met his first cat without any issues. He is housebroken, walks nicely on a leash, and loves being with his people. Because his elderly owner was home most of the time, Bowie is accustomed to constant companionship and truly enjoys having someone nearby. He would love a retired adopter or someone who works from home so he can continue being a faithful companion. Bowie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has received comprehensive veterinary care, including full bloodwork, a chest X-ray, and a dental cleaning. He does require two daily medications, and Tyson's Place will help cover the cost of those medications for the first six months after adoption.
