Story
Meet Ace – The Big Lovebug Who Just Wants to Be Included Ace has one goal in life: be wherever his people are. Whether it's a walk around the neighborhood, a road trip, a hike through the woods, or simply relaxing at home, Ace is happiest when he's by your side. He has a joyful spirit, a heart full of love, and a personality that makes it impossible not to smile. His foster says Ace always seems happy and is ready to go anywhere his people go. Ace Loves: -Walks -Hiking -Car rides -Tug toys -Playing with other dogs -Playing with toys -Chewing bones -Sniffing and exploring -Cuddling with his family Ace's Favorite Thing: Being with his people. Ace isn't the type of dog who needs treats to be happy. In fact, this lovable guy would much rather earn praise, belly rubs, ear scratches, and affection. Nothing makes his tail wag faster than hearing he's a good boy. A Big Heart in a Big Body Ace may look like a big, round teddy bear, but don't let that fool you—he's always ready for an adventure. He loves exploring, enjoys meeting new people, and has plenty of energy for walks and outdoor fun before happily settling down for cuddle time. One thing that makes Ace especially unique is how determined he is to make friends. His foster shares that their resident dog hadn't played with another dog since losing his canine companion, but Ace never gave up trying. Thanks to his patient, playful personality, he eventually convinced him to play—for about ten wonderful seconds. That small victory perfectly captures Ace's loving, optimistic spirit. A Few Things to Know: -House trained -Crate trained -Knows "Sit" -Can retrieve specific toys by name once he's learned them -Loves other dogs -Previously lived successfully with a cat -Likes children -Medium to high energy -Friendly with everyone he meets -May bark when excited or greeting new people -Pulls on leash and may jump when excited -Can have a little selective hearing when something interesting catches his attention -Can become overstimulated in busy environments but continues improving with positive exposure -Not particularly food motivated—he responds best to praise, affection, ear scratches, and belly rubs. Great Activities for Ace: -Hiking adventures -Neighborhood walks -Car rides -Playing with dog friends -Tug games -Exploring new places One-on-one adventures -Relaxing with his family after a busy day Best Match: -Active family -Calm home that enjoys outdoor adventures -Family looking for an affectionate companion -Home with another friendly dog or as an only dog -Someone who enjoys training through praise and positive reinforcement Three Words That Describe Ace Best: ❤️ Playful ❤️ Affectionate ❤️ Snuggler Foster Location: Galesville, WI Meet & Greet Availability: Ace's foster is happy to meet approved adopters within approximately 30–45 minutes of Galesville. Ace came to rescue through no fault of his own after his beloved owner entered hospice care and could no longer provide for him. He was deeply loved throughout his life, and it shows in the trusting, affectionate dog he has become. Now he's looking for another family to love just as completely. If you're searching for a loyal best friend who wants to be part of every adventure, celebrates every moment with enthusiasm, and believes belly rubs are the greatest reward in the world, Ace is ready to become your newest family member. Ready to meet Ace? Visit www.tailsofhopewi.org to submit an application. Story
Plum is a 2-year-old Beagle/Pug/Terrier mix. She is a bright, affectionate dog with lots of personality and silliness. At just 40 pounds, she's the ultimate cuddlebug size who has a love affair with blankets. If you hold one open, she'll burrow right underneath for cozy snuggles! It's absolutely adorable and will provide hours of giggles!Plum bonds deeply to her humans and truly enjoys learning what you want from her. She is a pup that wants to please. She's house-trained, crate-trained for bedtime, and incredibly smart. She does not need to be crated during the day. Honestly, she could be the valedictorian of any obedience school! Plum was found wandering lost and was very scared and stressed at the municipal animal control. We believe this experience left a mark on her, so she needs a calmer, quieter environment. She'll be happiest in a detached home where she can enjoy a peaceful, more predictable environment without close neighboring walls. Suburb or country life with less outside noise than a busy city environment is for this gal!Plum loves training and playtime, but she's outgrown that nonstop puppy energy and is best described as a medium-energy dog. She enjoys having opportunities to learn, explore, and interact with her people, then settling in for some cozy downtime. These days, she'd much rather have something satisfying to chew on than chase a ball.Plum is looking for a very special forever home where she can shine and be her best self. She needs to be the only pet, so no cats or other dogs. Because she's an enthusiastic, physical dog who expresses both her playfulness and affection with her whole body, she'd also do best in a home without small children. Plum is looking for the right person or family to love and support her, provide structure, and offer a peaceful, predictable environment. Plum will blossom into an amazing lifelong family member and companion. We just LOVE Plum!If you are interested in Plum, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story
Rowdy is a little shy with new people. Shes great with all dogs she meets and would be best on a home with another dog to help her adjust. Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well. She is ready for her furever family!! Apply soon! Local adoption fee is $300(in TX)

I'm a smart boy who loves learning, and I'll thrive with a family that enjoys keeping my mind busy. Since I'm still a puppy, I'll be excited to learn all the things that make me the best companion I can be. Story
Rollie was surrendered after his owner died. He had never lived inside until he came into rescue. He is now house and crate trained. He does love to run and play and hide his bones outside. He had very little socialization with other dogs and is a little dog selective (prefers females more than males). He's more of a loner than most. He has always been crated inside to avoid the mischief a beagle tends to get into with chewing items he isn't supposed to be chewing. It is more for his safety of not swallowing anything harmful. He will bark to let you know when he needs to go potty. He has been completely vetted. He deserves a home of his own to retire in and enjoy the rest of his life. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. Please email us for the link to the adoption application.
