Story
Prudence is a beagle mix and about 2 or 3 years old. We adopted her from Forsyth County Animal Shelter of June 2023. She’s a very sweet and smart girl with lots of energy and potential, loves to cuddle and play, up to date on her vaccines, spayed and potty trained. She is reactive and resource guards from other animals. We were unable to crate train her but our trainer believes she has a phobia of being locked in, but does fine outside of it and isn’t very destructive. She has a lot of energy and high prey drive so she requires both physical and mental stimulation. She LOVES to sniff around and loves games where she has to use her nose. Very food motivated! She needs help building her confidence but knows how to sit, wait, lay down, and shake. Active owner who has experience with high energy/reactive/working dogs is a must and lives in a relatively quiet area. No fee, we just want her to go to a good home.

Story
Cali is a 7-8 year old loving and energetic dog. She is a mix of multiple breeds, genetic testing showed 25% beagle, 25% lab, 25% shitzshu, and 25% other. We adopted her when she was about 2 years old and she has been a part of our family since 2019. Unfortunately, now that we have a toddler and a newborn, we can no longer give her the time or the energy she deserves. She loves walks, playing fetch, hiking, and cuddling on the couch. She is great with kids and protective over ours. She does not get along with other dogs or cats, so would need to be the only animal in the house. She is house trained, but has shown intermittent signs of regression with occasional accidents since we brought the newborn home. Hoping to find her a new family that can give her more time and attention than we are able to right now!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi … my name is Jack!  I have some special needs because I am super shy and I am a flight risk.  Read my bio to find out everything you need to know about me.   If you think I might be the perfect pup for you, go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete the adoption application online. We do not have a lot of information on Jack’s past, only that a Good Samaritan rescued this sweet beagle boy from a bad situation.  We have no idea why he is so terrified of people, but we have noted that he is generally less afraid of women and that he is terrified of anyone carrying anything in their hands. Jack is such a handsome boy and it is heartbreaking to see him so scared of everything.  His eyes say it all.  We’re pretty sure there is a lot of love inside this sweet boy that he would like to share with someone.  As scared as he is, he has never shown any aggression towards people. He even went through multiple surgeries to correct cherry eye in both eyes and he was a perfect patient during recovery when he had to wear the awful ‘cone of shame’ and had to have eye drops multiple times every day. Approximate age/birthdate:  May 19 2019 Weight/size:  30 lbs Housebroken:  YES unless he gets scared and piddles Crate trained:  YES Personality: extremely shy, very wary of people, enjoys the company of other dogs Energy level: medium Fenced yard required?:  YES a 6’ physical fence is required, NO EXCEPTIONS, no underground/electric fence. Does he/she jump fences?  He definitely could jump or climb a wire fence or chain link fence.  He did escape from a foster home yard once and it was scary! His current yard has privacy fencing. Leash walk with manners:  YES … once you get a harness on him, he will walk, although hesitantly when he is taken to a new location Obedience training:  NO Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK      Spayed/neutered:   YES Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES Microchipped:   YES Social with other dogs:  YES Social with cats: NO CATS will be best Good with children:  Will probably be best with respectful, calm children ages 10 and up.  He will often shy away from human touch, so children would need to be mature enough to understand his fear and the responsibilities of keeping him safe. Adoption donation: $175 We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible. When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Jack picks you too. If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed. Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 17, 2024, 7:52 pm
