Story
She is a wonderful, loving dog who needs an owner that absolutely has the time to love her, play with her, and has lots of room for her to run when she has a zoomie! She loves her food, such as, carrots, broccoli, frozen green beans, cauliflower and her dental stick after dinner. She eats Nature's Recipe, Lamb and brown rice. And a little shredded cheese. She gets a dog bone after her potty, which she holds it for a long time, and after dinner a dental stick. She loves the outdoors. She will be 8 years old in September, current on her shots. I have medical records for her. Her original owner passed away that had Olivia from the age of 4 months, then her daughter took her in and with her job and the other dogs she has, it was just too much, so I took her thinking she would be a great fit for our family, but life took a turn, and I can no longer keep her. Makes me sad due to the fact she is a very good dog, loving, and funny. She has her own bed, but prefers ours with us.

Story
Roscoe is a 9 yr old, 11 lb, tri-colored Beagle/Dachshund mix. He gets along beautifully with other small dogs and enjoys playing with plush toys. Roscoe has the gentle temperament of a Beagle along with some Dachshund traits — he is curious, lively, charming, brave, stubborn, demands to be in on everything, and believes snuggling and sleeping under the bedcovers is in his bill of rights. Roscoe is friendly and affectionate with people. Roscoe could be an only dog or have another small dog (under 20 lbs) in the home. Roscoe is smart, quick and looks for every opportunity to shoot out an open door, so his adoptive family needs to be prepared to manage a quick and determined little dog. The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA and East TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact h2hadoptions@gmail.com. There is an application process and adoption fee. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, with gaps no greater than 1 1/2 inches, and attached to the home - meaning you have an inside door that opens into the fenced yard. An invisible fence, enclosed patio, terrace or deck, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $450July 10, 2024, 4:32 pm

Story
Cooper is such a gentle soul. I have a 1 and 3 year old children and he's so gentle with them and also with the kitten we have. He is a calm and gentle through and through. The only reason I am rehoming Cooper is because I haven't been fully successful in my house training attempts over the last several weeks. He needs some focused training that I don't have the time to provide as a single mother with 2 small children. He's gotten much better, but I feel like with 2 solids weeks of consistent monitoring, focused training and praise he would get it. He is a beagle after all. ;-) Some additional info. about Cooper, I rescued him from a shelter at the end of May, I DO NOT want to take him back to the shelter. :( He's neutered, fully vetted, had a full bloodwork panel done in June and is microchipped. He is blind in his left eye, it does not affect him at all. He also has a bit of separation anxiety but does well in a kennel during the day.

Story
We seem to have quite a few seniors these days, and that`s okay because they are such wonderful, amazing souls. They teach us so much and require so little. They just want to be with you, get a few pets and hugs, some good food, and a soft, warm place to rest. Is that too much to ask?? NO! This beautiful girl is Lanie and it`s hard to believe but she is probably around 10 years old or so. And, as always, she checks all the boxes like most seniors. She`s housetrained, crate trained, good with other dogs, easy-going, and just a pleasure to be around--a 100% great dog! Lanie is doing very well in her wonderful foster home but she is also ready to start life in a forever home of her own. She will not disappoint the lucky person who adopts her, and promises to bring oodles and oodles of love into their life. To meet this sweet, happy girl, email us at fosterpets@burlingtonnc.gov.
