Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sage is a truly lovely lady. Found as a stray, she previously lived in a busy home with toddlers, a baby, a cat, and two other dogs. Despite her age, she was always eager to roll and play, especially with the young female shepherd in the home. She still hops around like a puppy and loves to play—she’s just a bit of a noisy player! Crates and kennels aren’t her thing, and she becomes very distressed when confined. Because of this, she should be in a home where she doesn’t need to be crated. Or with a family that can help work work with crate training.  Sage adores toys, especially bones, and she is extremely food motivated. Most of all, she LOVES people. She’ll follow you everywhere, soaking up every bit of affection she can—her happy kisses never stop, and she thrives on attention and closeness. Sage is ready to find her forever family, one that will give her the love, comfort, and companionship she deserves for the rest of her life. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Frieda – A Quiet Spirit with a Heart Ready to Bloom Frieda came to us frightened and carrying one of the largest hernias our vet had ever seen. Thankfully, she’s had successful surgery, lots of rest, and time to heal—not just physically, but emotionally too. She’s still shy around people and may dart away if things feel uncertain, but never with aggression. Just a soft soul learning to feel safe. Despite her hesitation, Frieda has made sweet progress: she’ll lounge contentedly on the bed, do a happy little dance for her meals, and dig the perfect cozy nest on the couch. Her foster mom has even snuck in some gentle pets while Frieda relaxes nearby—one small victory at a time. Frieda loves the company of other dogs and cats and would make an ideal companion for a pet who needs a buddy. She navigates a doggy door like a pro and enjoys the freedom of a fenced yard where she can play and explore at her own pace. She’s not the dog who’ll jump into your lap on day one—but for someone patient, quiet, and kind, Frieda will slowly open her heart. And when she does, the love will be as real as it gets. Great with dogs and cats Still learning to trust humans Perfect for a calm home with a doggy friend Couch artist and food-dance enthusiast Are you the safe place Frieda’s been waiting for?Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 24, 2025, 11:56 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Minnie – Housetrained, Sweet, Dignified Beagle Lady Minnie is a charming, mature beagle who is 1000% housetrained—she will wait patiently all day until you can take her outside. She’s an easy companion with wonderful manners and a gentle heart. Minnie enjoys affection but prefers older children and adults, as she doesn’t like being picked up or babied. She loves being petted and doted on, but always with dignity. She gets along well with other dogs, though she prefers not to share her bed at first—her big dog bed is her safe space, and after her rough start to life, she’s earned it. Once settled, she happily plays with friendly dogs and has even shared her bed with trusted foster siblings. Minnie may take a few days to feel comfortable enough to eat regularly, but once she does, she eats without issue. She should be fed separately from other dogs to prevent food guarding, but she has no problems with people handling her food or bowl. She has recently started barking and trying to play with the cats, so she would do best in a cat-free home or with very confident, tolerant cats. Minnie is a sweet, gentle girl who has been passed around too many times. She deserves a stable, loving forever home where she can finally relax and be cherished. If you think Minnie might be the perfect match for you, please submit an application—we’d love to arrange a meet-and-greet!
