Story
I adopted "Cooper" from Forsyth County Animal Shelter as a companion for my other dog. Cooper is a sweet 1.5 year old Beagle mix weighing 25 lbs. He is neutered and up to date on all his shots and gets along well with my cat. He loves people and toys. The problem is, my other dog is terrified of him. He has taken over our household and is simply not the right fit for as a companion for my other dog. No fault at all of Coopers. He learns quickly, very smart and loving. Please help me find Cooper a new home. The shelter will take him back however I am not going to return him there.

Story
Meet Sage, a sweet and cuddly Beagle mixed girl who is full sized at just 30 pounds. Sage loves people and is eager to flash everyone a pearly white smile! Her mornings start late, as she loves to sleep in, and you have to drag her out from underneath the covers. She has wonderful indoor manners and seems to be house trained. Sage can be trusted in the house while you’re gone but she doesn’t mind staying in a kennel when needed as long as she has a soft dog bed or blanket to nap on. She also enjoys being outside laying in a nice sunny spot or getting her zoomies out around the yard. Sage is a perfect companion for quiet evenings at home or busy evenings at the park. She’s happy to go along with whatever is in store for the day as long as she is by your side. Adopt Sage and bring home a bundle of joy, a companion who will shower you with unconditional love and loyalty and will always be there for you! Sage has been spayed, microchipped, and kept current on vaccines and monthly preventatives. For the first steps of adoption, please be sure to submit an application here: https://humanesocietyofwilkes.org/adopt/application/julians. For questions you can email julianshumate@gmail.com and expect an email response within a week of applying.

Story
Found as a stray who was never claimed, it would seem that she had been previously abused. She was first adopted by an elderly lady who said that she was afraid of her cane at first. She became comfortable and happy at her house, only this elderly lady is now in hospice care and needs to rehome her. Except for going to the vet's offices, Chelsea is not accustomed to being away from the lady's house..She has enjoyed playing with other foster dogs, but occasionally, can be bossy and dominant with them. She is initially skittish and shy, but warms quickly. As such, she would be a flight risk, so would recommend double-leashing her and having a secure, fenced yard. She loves to run back inside for a treat; is well crate-trained....Although she enjoys sleeping with someone, more recently, she has slept in her crate.....is very food and treat motivated. Is an even prettier dog in person, who deserves a lot of love... NO YOUNG CHILDREN. FENCED YARD REQUIRED; VET'S REFERENCE REQUIRED.February 18, 2025, 3:19 am

Story
When you eat your Thanksgiving turkey- will you think of me?? I will be right next to you trying to get it... NOW will you think of me?? LOL, ok, I kid.... I do love turkey though :) I am Wishbone, and I am a bull terrier/beagle mixed boy with a story to tell! I am so smart like a bull terrier- somewhat stubborn, like a bull terrier, but I follow my NOSE like a beagle! I am super cute, only about 40# and I am pretty active. I love to have a hard playing buddy, no small animals (like kitties) as I have a prey drive- like a bull terrier.. you see where I am going with this, right?? I would love have an active family, kids older than grade school as I love a moving target and smaller ones don't quite understand that. I am a love bug, and once tired out I am the bestest cuddler! So, what are you waiting for? Look me up, take me on adventures when you apply to adopt me! ADOPT, DON'T SHOP!!!! MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

These pups are in Mount Airy, North Carolina too!
