Story
Hi there, I'm Sunnie! I'm a spry senior lady at 8 years young, who still loves a good romp outside from time to time. Inside of the house, though, I can usually be found curled up on the couch or recliner seeing how many naps I can take in a day. I'm a friendly and social gal who loves meeting new people and riding in the car! I also appreciate my alone time and am behaved enough that I don't need a crate when I'm left alone. I've lived a long life and have lots of love left to give. I may be a senior, but I'm young at heart. So, why not let me brighten your days? After all, everyone needs a little Sunnie in their life! You're welcome to email the foster home with any questions at julianshumate@gmail.com. To meet or adopt Sunnie you must first fill out an application here: https://humanesocietyofwilkes.org/adopt/application/julians. To ensure your application was received, please email the foster home. You can expect an email response within a week of applying.

Ollie is a loving and energetic buddy. He loves to run and play all day. His favorite game is fetch and once you start he won't let you stop. He needs a home with space for him to run or an active home. He is a Beagle and is full of energy. When he is relaxing he wants to be laying right next to someone preferably chewing on a bone. He will be someone's very best friend. He loves to play with other dogs and lived with a cat for a while. Everyone is his best friend and he is happy to tell everyone that fact.

Story
Cliff is a 5 year old beagle mix that is fun and very loving. He is very content with being around his owner whenever he can. He listens well to commands and doesn’t walk far away from you once he has gotten to know you. Cliff deserves a home that is loving and has a lot of time to spend with him. I currently have a work schedule that doesn’t allow me to spend enough time with him certain days of the week and I don’t want to leave him by himself for hours in a day.

Story
Introducing Gambit - the name's not just a coincidence; it's a testament to my ability to shape my destiny. Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. So, it might be best if I find a home without men. During a short stay with Kathy, I was a little shy but kept to myself. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a dash of X-Men flair and you're ready to give me the chance I deserve, let's make it happen. I can't wait to meet you and start this exciting new chapter together! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Tell me if you have heard this one.... you are driving down the road...minding your OWN business... and you see someone toss out a puppy.... WHAT??? WHO DOES THAT?? Well, I guess there are people out there who do not value our lives and who do things like that... BUT there are AMAZING people out there who SAVE unfortunate souls like mine too! So it somewhat balances out the equation. So, my name is NOEL and I am a beagle mixed pup who is active and smart and playful and HAPPY! I am all fixed up and ready for my FUREVER family!! And maybe that is YOU? I require an active and loving family, kids would be great and another active dog?? I am a very medium sized girl, Beagley mixed girl who will make your life complete!! I do bark on occasion to get your attention but I am not a continuous barker, so you can definitely get your sleep at night too! So adopt me and I will be forever in your debt... and on your couch.... and under your table :) You get the picture!!
