Story
Lacey is a sweet, female, beagle mix weighing in at 48 lbs.  She was surrendered by the owner when we found out she was heartworm positive.  She is 5 years old and up to date on shots/vaccines, spayed, and microchipped.  We have started her on medication to prepare her for her heartworm injections in about 30 days.  PINC pays for these treatments.  We are looking for an adopter that has experience with heartworm treatments. Lacey is sweet, laid back, loves to be with her person, and loves other dogs.  We follow the American Heartworm Society's heartworm treatment plan and heartworm treatments are administered at Spay Neuter Clinic of the Carolinas.  We will require a fenced-in backyard for Lacey.  www.pincdogrescue.org/adopt is where you can submit an adoption application and see our adoption process. ##1101372##

Story
Winnie is 10 months old. She loves to run and play. She is very active and needs a family that can provide play time, a backyard, and frequent walks. Winnie was a rescue dog. My daughter found her when she was about 4 months old in the middle of a storm thrown by a fence. My daughter lives in SC and is away at college, she had been trying to take care of Winnie but because of her school hours and sports she is unable to have her and her dorm will no longer allow Winnie to stay there. My lease will not allow me to keep her. Winnie needs a home that has children or dogs and can provide daily play.

Story
No better option than adoption! Max is seeking his forever home and family!  Max is a young 31-pound boy with a beautiful short haired coat!  He is a bit of a “Heinz 57” – we think his breeds include Terrier, Hound and Beagle! He is very energetic, happy-go-lucky, determined, spirited, expressive, playful and loves to cuddle.   He is extremely treat-motivated and very gentle when taking his treats. Max is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained.  He has been through a 4-week intense training program to help with his manners. His training comes with forever “touch ups” if the adopter is willing to travel to the Charlotte area. Max is very much a puppy at heart and needs love, patience and needs his person to continue his training.  His perfect home is one without small kids or other small animals. Max loves to be the center of attention. He’d love to be your one and only and give you all the love you could handle but has learned to share at boarding and with his foster sister.  Max would love to live with somebody who is active and wants to go on long walks and hikes with him, but also has a fenced in yard for him to run and get all his energy out. Max loves the outdoors – whether it’s going out to chill on the patio, where he will flop over as if saying “this is the spot, I am not leaving” or whether his person is taking him running or hiking.  Max also loves to swim! Once he gets all his puppy energy out, he is ready to cuddle and chill while binge watching Netflix or your favorite sports team – he’s a great television watching companion and can’t wait to cheer on your favorite team with you. If you think Max sounds like the perfect addition to your family, please complete an adoption application at lastdaydogs.com April 26, 2024, 10:28 am

Are you looking for a loyal, sweet, and loving friend to add to your family? Look no further than Muffin! This adorable pooch may be a bit shy at first, but give her a little time, and she'll warm up to show you the boundless love and devotion she has to offer. Muffin's ideal family would be one that understands the value of patience and the beauty of watching a timid soul flourish into a confident and joyful companion. Muffin dreams of a calm and nurturing home where she can slowly come out of her shell at her own pace. She thrives in a peaceful environment where she can feel safe and loved and would prefer no small kids at this time. This darling dog has so much love to give and is eagerly waiting for the right family to share it with. She's a testament to the fact that the best things in life truly are worth waiting for. By choosing to adopt Muffin, you're not just getting a pet; you're gaining a lifelong friend who will cherish every moment spent with you. If your home is the sanctuary that Muffin has been dreaming of, and you believe in giving second chances to deserving souls, then Muffin might just be the perfect addition to your family. Let's help Muffin find her forever home where she can finally say, "I am home."
