Story
How handsome is CAP'N CRUNCH? He's a super fun young beagle boy, about 2 years old and fully grown at 26 pounds but still brimming with puppyish personality. He loves to do zoomies in the yard and play with his toys. Cap'n Crunch is good with other dogs, fine with kids and just an all around good boy. He's housebroken and crate trained and needs a home with a physically-fenced yard to keep him from following his beagle nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Cap'n Crunch, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can also meet him at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.   All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 4, 2024, 8:06 pm

Story
Got her in July 2023 as rescue. Found her at a gas station with no tags, no identification, took her to a shelter and they said they were full so i kept her cause i felt bad. She been great since i’ve had her. Friendly with other dogs, great with cats (honestly prefers them over other dogs), house trained, knows sit, sit pretty, spin, lay down, doesnt chew anything, honestly pretty easy going. The only thing is she can be skiddish around new people, not bad but can just get nervous. She also does have some separation anxiety. She was on some anti-anxiety chews for awhile and i crate her when i leave the house with a bark collar and that seemed to fix it. The only reason for rehoming is that im a full time college student with a job so i just dont have the time for her. I love dogs i just wasnt prepared to own one as a 20yr old. I only want the best for her but again as a student with now a summer internship i just cant give her the life she deserves.

🐾 Introducing Gibson, the pint-sized bundle of joy on a quest for his forever home! 🐶 At just a year and a half old, this small tri-colored beagle mix is eager to embark on a new chapter filled with fun and happiness. 🌟Weighing in at a compact 22 lbs and standing less than knee-high to most, Gibson may be small in size, but his heart is as vast as the sky, brimming with love and affection. ❤️This little guy adores people of all ages, from tiny tots to adults, and he's a social butterfly with other furry pals. 🐕👶 However, his stance on feline friends remains a mystery! 🐱Ready to welcome Gibson into your heart and home? He's prepared to shower you with endless joy and companionship. 🏡 Let's create beautiful memories together! 🐾 #AdoptGibson #BeagleLove #RescueDog 🐶 Gibson has recently discovered the wonders of toys and is now obsessed! He's playful with fellow canines, well-behaved, and oh-so-tolerant. 🎾🐾You can apply online at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sr2794&method=online_form_html&formid=21 OR stop into the shelter 12 - 6 pm Tuesday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before we close to ensure we have time to do the adoption. Take advantage of our foster-to-adopt program, where you can take any dog 4 months and older home for a week to make sure it is a good fit before committing to adoption.

**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Sarge. I'm about 13 weeks old and I weigh about 13 lbs. My dad was a Beagle and my mom was a Pit Bull mix, though I don't look much like my momma other than my coloring. I am also very vocal like a beagle would be. My sister Moona and I were surrendered to the pound and we are now looking for loving new families to join. We are just puppies. We haven't received any basic training or housebreaking. We will need patient families that will work with us on training. We are friendly little babies. We love people and other dogs. If you're looking for a sweet pup to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable.
