He is a 1 year old beagle. Jake came to OBHR from a local shelter. We know from his foster that he his house broken and crate trained and good with both a young and older dog, but he is a young and active guy so another young dog and active family will be best for this beagle boy! He will require a home with a fenced in yard and his adoption fee is $300. He is currently being fostered in Columbus. He has not been cat tested but we do know…no farm animals! He is NOT chicken friendly. Let’s just say that’s why this sweet boy found his way to rescue! But that’s ok Jake! We will find you a home with no chickens! Adoption Process: To meet one our dogs you must first fill out our application on our website ohiobassetrescue.com. Once submitted one of our volunteers will reach out to you. Upon approval you will be given an approval code to email us at ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com. Approvals are good for 6 months for any current or future dogs. After 6 months you will be directed to fill out an updated application. Please note we only process applications where the adopter lives in OH, IN, KY, PA, WV, lower MI. Adopters must be willing to travel to meet the dog they are adopting. Dogs locations are listed on their profile description on our website. Dogs are NOT all located in Brookville, that is our mailing address. Please understand we are all volunteers and will respond as soon as we can as we all have jobs and family obligations. Little Sprout is back with us after a trial adoption. He escaped his cage, he’s a destructive chewer, and he barks at people and dogs. Sprout is still a puppy and is going to need an adopter who can train him and turn him into a successful adult dog. We’re guessing Sprout is about six months old. Beautiful JENN is highly skilled in the art of BFFing. This girl is a ready-made bestie. Just look into those deep soulful eyes and feel the connection. Jenn is a black and tan beagle girl, about 1 year old and fully grown at 30 pounds. She's friendly, medium energy, good with other dogs and shows no interest in cats. Standard beagle rules apply, Jenn needs a physically-fenced yard to keep from following her beagle nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Jenn, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhousrescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Jenn at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30-1:30 at PetSmard Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care.
