Sandy is the kind of dog that makes your house feel quieter and cozier just by being in it. ❤️ This 5 year old Beagle girl is calm, cuddly, and happiest curled up inside near her people. She loves soft places to nap, keeping watch over the backyard, and occasionally reminding everyone she is, in fact, still a hound with important squirrel-related responsibilities. Sandy does well with other dogs, has lived with older kids, isn't a fan of cats, is crate trained, housetrained, and knows some basic commands. She’s not overly busy or demanding- just a sweet little companion who wants a peaceful home where she can settle in and be loved. Sandy can be a little wary of strangers at first, but once she feels comfortable, she’s the kind of dog who just wants to hang out beside you and exist together. Honestly? She seems like a pretty ideal roommate.

Story
Foster Location: New Jersey Thunder was found as a stray during a thunderstorm (hence the name) and got a second chance when he was adopted from a local shelter. Unfortunately, his nose- and instincts- have gotten him into trouble. Thunder discovered that chickens are delicious and very exciting to chase, and his current home couldn't keep him because of it. He's friendly with people, does well with other dogs, and has been around kids from toddler age up through pre-teen. Cats, birds, and poultry are an absolute no unless it's for lunch. Thunder is smart, playful, and loves a ball and chew toys. He's right around a year old and has been doing so great in foster. He's gone from being a primarily outdoor dog to a guy who loves to be inside taking a nap on your bed, your couch, your lap, or wherever happen to be. His foster told us last week that he's the best dog they have ever fostered and they have been fostering since 1989!
