Meet Baron, a 3 year old beagle boy who is currently looking for the people who come with the snuggles. He’s been up to date on vaccines, heartworm prevention, flea and tick prevention, and deworming since day one with us, and we got him neutered and finished his vetting, so the boring part is handled. All that’s left is the fun part- getting to know him. We’re still learning who Baron is, and we’ll update this bio as we do. He’s a beagle through and through, so expect a nose that makes all the decisions, strong opinions about snacks, and a voice he’ll use whenever he feels the room needs to hear it. Buster is an easygoing guy who gets along with other dogs and loves to play with them. He's been around kids ages 3 and 4, knows sit and down, and can be trusted home alone for extended periods. He's a little hesitant with new people, but give him a minute and he comes around. He isn't a lap dog, but he'll happily take a belly rub, and he bonds hard with his people. Squeaky toys and walks are high on his list. Buster has lived outside his whole life, so indoor life is brand new to him. He's still figuring out indoor manners and routines, and he'll do best with an adopter who is happy to show him the ropes with some patience and consistency. Everything he needs to learn, he can learn with a good teacher. LOCATION: GLENDALE, AZ ADOPTABLE ANYWHERE IN THE USA Meet Jelly Bean, a tiny beagle with a real talent for becoming your lap’s permanent resident. At about 17 pounds, she’s smaller than any beagle her foster had ever seen, and she uses every ounce to get as close to you as possible. Full-body wags, nose tucked into your arm, curled up on the couch or the bed or your legs- she’s not picky. She started out as a stray found hiding under a trailer, and she’s still working out that the world is mostly nice. She’s can be a bit timid initially and does best with a soft voice and plenty of praise. Her bay is slowly coming out too, and it’s a soft, very cute one that mostly shows up when you walk in the door. Day to day, she’s easy to live with. She’s great with other dogs, fine with kids ages 3 to 10, rides in the car like a pro, and sleeps through the night in her crate without a peep. On walks her nose runs the show- she pulls a little, but she’s small enough that it’s manageable and young enough that she'll learn quick. Jelly Bean is a former stray, so a house is a whole new world for her. She’s had about 3 months in foster and just wrapped up heartworm treatment, so she’s learning to be a house dog and a healthy dog at the same time. She sleeps in her crate without a single accident and does great when she’s taken out on a schedule, so routine is the key for her success. He’s been in foster for a week and a half and has already won over the whole house. Aaron soaks up attention and he’s curious, yet gentle about it. He’s gone to the bathroom outside every single time, and he’s quiet in his crate. He’s also taking teenagers and other dogs in stride like he’s lived with them his whole life. His one flaw is that he’s a world-class Captain Underfoot. If you’re in the kitchen, Aaron is in the kitchen, and probably about to be stepped on. His foster family is teaching him to stay grounded when he wants attention and to reposition himself so nobody has to stop mid-step. He’s catching on. Aaron is heartworm positive and currently in treatment. He’s available to adopt right away to a Tulsa area home, and we’re accepting applications nationwide, with Aaron avaliable to head to a new far-away home once he’s finished treatment.
