Story
Clarabelle has been with us since she was 3 years old. We rescued her from the Portsmouth Va humane Society and have had her since 2016. She is house broken and has no medical conditions. Our reason to rehome her is two fold. First we have adopted children and they (the children) are not well trained around the dog. With adults Clarabelle is good, she gets nervous around young kids with sudden movements and will show teeth. She has not bitten anyone. Also we are moving in July from Virginia to Utah and would like to rehome her before the move. She would be best suited for a home with older adults with no children living with them.

BLEU**9 YEAR OLD MALE BEAGLE MIX**45 POUNDS**COURTESY LISTING** Bleu is currently residing in the VA Beach area. If you are interested in Bleu, please contact Alexandra at alxbryant96@gmail.com or (757) 617-1611. From his current owner: -Name: Bleu -Male (neutered) -9y old Beagle Mix -45lbs -Vetting: Up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, has joint and hip issues from a prior injury -Story: 🚨 Urgent Rehoming – Bleu Needs a Loving Home ASAP 🐾 Bleu is in immediate need of a new home due to circumstances that no longer allow me to provide the time, attention, and environment he truly deserves. My priority is finding him a safe, stable, and loving home as soon as possible. Bleu came into my care about two years ago when a former friend was unable to keep him and never returned for him. Since then, I’ve made sure he has been safe and cared for, but I am no longer able to meet his needs long-term. About Bleu: • Great with children, dogs, and cats • Loves all people—very friendly and social • Playful, affectionate, and full of love • Enjoys trail walks and being outdoors • Would thrive in a quieter setting • Needs a home with a large yard where he can run and play Bleu is a wonderful dog who truly deserves a home where he can get consistent attention, exercise, and companionship. This is not an easy decision, but it’s what’s best for him. -Pros/Cons: Bleu’s Pros 🐾 • Extremely sweet, loving, and affectionate • Loves to cuddle and be close to his people • Playful and fun, but can also be very gentle • Great with children, cats, and other dogs • Very friendly—loves meeting new people • Has never shown any aggression or bitten anyone • Enjoys trail walks and outdoor time • Settles nicely on leash after initial excitement Things to Consider ⚠️ • May have occasional accidents indoors if not taken out regularly • Does not do well in a crate and prefers more freedom • Can pull on the leash at the beginning of walks (improves once he calms down) • Will get into trash if it’s not secured/put away • Loves to chew—does best when provided with plenty of durable chew toys • Would do best in a quieter home environment • Needs a yard and consistent exercise to stay happy and balanced -Ideal home: Bleu would thrive in a single-family home with a decent-sized, secure yard where he has space to run and play. He does best in a quieter environment away from busy roads, loud noises, heavy traffic, or construction areas, as those things can sometimes spook him. He would be happiest with an outdoorsy individual or family who enjoys walks, fresh air, and spending time outside, and who can give him the consistent attention, exercise, and companionship he needs. A home where he isn’t left alone for long periods and can truly be part of daily life would be ideal. Story
Hi everyone, we are sisters who are STRONGLY bonded. We just wouldn't know what to do without each other. We love EVERYTHING & EVERY ONE!! We are smart too. We can sit, catch, and fetch. We are 4 years old we are fully grown and are still little things since we are a beagle mix. It is our greatest wish to be in a home again really, really soon. We had kids to play with at our last home and my gosh we would love that. But we love adults just as much. So, kids aren't a necessity. We just want to be loved and to give love! Will you come and give us a look see. We have to stay together.

Story
As discarded hunting dogs, life hasn’t been easy for Heidi and Chaplin, but things are finally looking up! Following a lifetime of neglect, they have received some much needed TLC and are ready for their forever home. We do believe they’re a bonded pair and are seeking a loving home where they can enjoy their golden years TOGETHER. These days their agenda is simple: relax, nap, and soak up the affection they’ve always deserved. Both pups are easy going, gentle souls who enjoy time outdoors in a fenced yard for sniffs, as well as indoor time for ample naps. These sweet pups are looking for a loving home that can offer a little extra understanding. They both experience some incontinence and take medication to help, but do have accidents. With patience, routine, and simple management tools like frequent potty breaks and washable diapers, they do well and continue to live happy, comfortable lives. They do not jump on furniture and are well behaved when left alone. Their foster home does not crate them. Chaplin can be a bit unsteady on stairs, so it’s best to monitor his access, especially if they aren’t carpeted which helps with his grip. Their DNA age tests show Chaplin is almost 10, and Heidi is about 8 months younger (as of 1/20/26) - a couple of years younger than first thought. Chaplin weighs 38 lbs., and Heidi 35 lbs. Both are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, and up‑to‑date on vaccinations. Chaplin has a permanent head tilt and slight gait unsteadiness, likely due to years of untreated ear infections. The head tilt doesn’t slow him down and a veterinarian, while in Homes Fur Hounds’ care, advised that with prompt treatment of any future ear infections, the neurological issue should not progress. He also has some scarring (“cauliflower ear”). His ears are comfortable now, but they should be handled gently, especially during weekly cleanings. Lately, we’ve noticed he may not hear as well as he used to, but his nose is as sharp as ever—he still shows up in the kitchen right on time for meals. If Heidi and Chaplin sound like your perfect pair, please apply at: www.homesfurhounds.org.
