Story
Very good boy, very energetic and very loving knows some commands, and no problems as a dog just needs an owner or family with time and money to work with him. Was abused as a puppy by his first owner so he doesn't do well with loud noises and vet visits can be difficult at times, however he causes little to no issues around the house. Does amazing with any other pets cats or dogs but can be a bit overwhelming and too energetic for them depending on their personality.

Story
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - OZZY BREED - Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle SIZE - About 15 pounds AGE - 4 years GENDER - Male MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Ozzy is a darling male, thought to be about 4 years old. Not only is he adorable, but he is super sweet and sociable, liking everyone he meets. Ozzy came to us from a NC shelter where he had originally been found as a stray. We believe he's a super mix of Jack Russell Terrier, (known for their spunk, playfulness and agility) and Beagle (known for their soulful gentle ways). The combination makes for an interesting and enjoyable blend and likely a super personality! Fully grown at just 15 pounds, he is a perfect size for most homes! Ozzy is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an active adopter who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with this amazing dog! A home without larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard will give him room to run and play, potty and satisfy his sniffer! Ozzy may not be well suited to small children but will fit nicely into many other homes. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. More information on our website at www.carerva.com.

Story
Cassie is an 8 year old beagle Australian shepherd mix with a lot of life left to live. We adopted her 7 years ago when she was still a puppy and she still has just as much energy as she did when we first adopted her. She is very sweet but extremely high energy and needs space to run and ideally multiple walks a day or lots of playtime. She is very cautious and scared of loud noises but has never been aggressive when she gets scared. She is crate trained and uses that as her safe space when she gets scared. We hate having to give her up but we both work full time and have 2 small children and just don't have the time to devote to her high energy.
