Story
Meet Ginny, a sweet and playful girl with a gentle, submissive spirit. Ginny is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and both house and crate trained, making her an easy addition to a home. While she enjoys short bursts of play, she is truly a cuddler at heart and would much rather be snuggled up with her people than constantly on the go. She absolutely loves being outside. Whether she is out on a walk or happily rolling around in the grass, nothing seems to bring her more joy than fresh air and time outdoors. Ginny has done well living with other dogs, cats, and kids, making her a wonderful fit for a variety of households. She previously lived peacefully with her more dominant buddy Greta, who has since been adopted, and she currently gets along great with her foster brother, a 1-year-old Aussie mix. She also cohabitates calmly with a cat. Ginny is around 3 to 4 years old and currently weighs about 42 pounds. With regular walks and a consistent routine, she could stand to lose a few pounds. She has an easygoing, affectionate personality and loves attention, especially when she can be snuggled. Ginny is currently in a foster home, so meetings are by arrangement. If you are interested in learning more or setting up a meet and greet, please email adoptpetersburg@gmail.com. If you are looking for a loving, easygoing companion who enjoys outdoor adventures and then curling up for snuggles, Ginny could be the perfect match.

Story
Angel is a gentle, loving three year old beagle mix who weighs about 35 pounds. She is a people oriented dog who enjoys companionship, calm affection, and being part of daily life. Angel is fully housebroken, settles well indoors, and loves both her walks and time in the yard. She is content to curl up on the couch, sleeps through the night, and has a steady, easygoing temperament. She is not a picky eater and does well with a little wet food added to her kibble. She gets along well with both dogs and cats. She has not been tested with children, so families with kids should plan for a meet and greet to ensure comfort and safety for everyone. Angel is not yet spayed, but we will assist her adopter in securing a spay appointment to make the process simple and affordable. Angel is searching for a new home because her owner is facing significant health challenges and wants to ensure she is placed with a family who can give her the care and stability she deserves. If you are interested in meeting Angel or would like more information, please contact us at adoptpetersburg@gmail.com.

Story
My wife Lucy and I adopted Roberta from Aarf shelter in Richmond about 6 years ago. She was about a year old at the time. Shes healthy and has never had health issues. She has velvety soft fur and is a sweetie pie. She has an uncanny food motivation and loves people, although she oscillates between friendly and indifferent to other dogs, given other stimuli. (She has a hound brother) She is potty trained (knows the expectation) and mostly potties outside but will sometimes potty inside. She loves her crate but has always, since we tried to crate train her as a pup, gotten anxious when its locked. Her ideal home is with someone who can give her lots of love and attention. She loves walks and open spaces outside. Top 6 Roberta descriptors: 1.Sweet 2.Loyal 3.Soft 4.Impeccable Snuggler 5.Independent 6.Hungry! My wife and are looking to rehome her because we have a 5 year old son and are welcoming our 2nd son in addition to our other hound. We love her very much.

Story
Natalie is a sweet 3-year-old Beagle (estimated age) that I adopted from a shelter after she was found as a stray. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She has a gentle, affectionate personality and enjoys being around people. She has a low to medium energy level and does well in a calm, stable environment. Natalie is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, which is fully covered by a foundation at no cost to the adopter. The rescue team is providing guidance and support through the remainder of her treatment. She would do best in a committed home that can offer consistency, patience, and regular walks. She is loving, loyal, and ready to bond closely with her new family.

Story
Small but mighty&#44 and sweeter than my name - Im Popsicle!

At first glance&#44 I might seem a little shy&#44 but give me a minute (and maybe a tasty treat or two)&#44 and youll see what all my fans rave about. Im a tiny gal with a huge heart - cuddly&#44 curious&#44 and full of spunky charm once I know Im safe. Think of me like a cat in a dogs body: social and affectionate&#44 but I like my space respected&#44 especially when were just getting to know each other.

Im more of a solo act - I shine brightest when Im the only animal in the spotlight&#44 so a home without furry roommates is the best fit for me. I do best in a calm&#44 adult environment where things are a little more predictable and low-key.

Popsicle is a part of our Patient Paws special. You can name your adoption fee!
