Story
Floyd is a really lovely dog with a sweet and calm temperament. He's a great size for most homes - which is good because he loves to snuggle up close to you and will probably try to crawl into your lap to get pets (and give kisses! Be prepared!). He walks well on a leash and really enjoys the opportunity to sniff as you go. I am spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. Come meet me! My adoption fee is $99.If you are interested in adopting me, please complete our online Adoption Application at https://rvspca.org/adopt/application/The Roanoke Valley SPCA offers adoptions by appointments Monday - Saturday between Noon and 7pm. Appointments can be made by calling 540-339-9247. Walk-in's will be offered the next available appointment. Pets are adopted on a first come basis. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold pets nor guarantee a pet will be available at the time of your appointment, but we do promise to call you if a pet is adopted prior to your appointment. The Roanoke Valley SPCA has embraced Fear Free Shelters philosophy and are committed to giving each pet in our care a fear free experience while looking for their forever homes. The Fear Free® philosophy is designed to reduce the negative emotional states that are commonly experienced by shelter animals, including fear, anxiety, stress, and frustration. We offer virtual walk thru of available pets on our website and at our shelter. The end result is a happier, healthier new member of your family.Call 540-339-9247 Monday - Saturday between Noon and 7 pm to speak with an adoption counselor for more information. Story
To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application here: http://littlebigdog.org/available-dogs/ All you have to do is think "Snoopy." If you are looking for a Snoopy dog, Buddy is it. We estimate his age at about nine years, so he's that perfect mix of sleepy-dozey Beagle and sniffing snooping Beagle enjoying a nice yard where he can noodle around and smell stuff in between naps. Buddy is sweet and friendly. He is located in Timberville VA.Adoption fees are $200 unless otherwise stated.  Senior residents of Dot's Old Dogs Home are generally not available for adoption.  100% of adoption fees are put back into the rescue so that another lonely and neglected chained/penned dog or yard-sale dog can be rescued. We are grateful for your interest. Upon approval, the adoption fee is non-refundable. The fee includes the following: de-worming; grooming (if applicable); heartworm, lymes, ehrlichia and anaplasmosis testing; all vaccinations including rabies; flea and tick treatment, microchipping and spay/neuter. Please contact us if you have questions about our adoptable dogs, we would love to talk to you!  May 5, 2024, 4:23 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cooper is an adorable mix of chiweenie and puggle. His expressive brown eyes are the perfect contrast to his blonde coat. Cooper came from a family with a large number of dogs so he is still earning what it means to get one-on-one attention. He is comfortable in his crate and will willingly go in there if the door is open. He has had very few accidents during the first week in his foster home and is learning the daily routine well. Cooper is a bit skittish at first but with patience, he will learn to trust and want to spend time in your lab or by your side. Born on 6/3/23, Cooper is still young and will most likely adjust easily to a new home. **Coopers adoption fee is $250. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it. May 10, 2024, 10:52 pm
