Benny is a sweet boy who was found as a stray suffering from a sever ear infection that caused a head tilt. The infection has cleared up but Benny still tends to tilt his head when startled giving him that confused look. Which is so adorable on him. Benny loves all people and other dogs. He likes to do the play bow. He has learned what chew bones and toys are. Benny would love a home with a fenced in yard and another dog to play with. **Personality & Traits** Crate Trained: Does great in his crate House Training: Benny is working on this. He needs to be kept on a schedule and taken out when he is up and roaming. Outside he tends to forget why he was taken out. He sometimes gets distracted by his nose. On Leash: He walks like a normal Beagle from one side of the road to the other. The nose leads. Affectionate Companion: Benny loves to cuddle and will roll over and give you his belly for rubs. Food Motivated: Treats and meals are his favorite things. To the point he will help himself if he can. Story
  Viola is a beautiful soul that we think is about 3 year old  and a Beagle mix girl. This black and white beauty with adorable speckled legs and a sweet She only weighs 20 lbs and has the sweetest smile and absolutely loves people. She was found as a stray that was taken to the shelter very scared and almost shutdown while there. Her human mother died and Viola is now 5 years old. Unfortunately we don’t really know her story, but we feel there is some trauma there in her past. It takes her a little bit to get used to people and even longer for dogs. She wants a safe place to observe (wire crate suggested)  till she figures it out. Her foster kept her behind a gate and her bed was her safe place. For a few days she would growl through the gate at the other dogs but after that it was over. We would leave the gate open and she would venture out and if she got nervous she would go back to her safe place. She is never ugly to the other dogs at her foster and  if one of the Chihuahuas was mean to her,  she just ignored her. We have her using puppy pads because there is  no fenced yard. Viola would definetly need a fenced yard so she can safely explore and have potty breaks. The outdoors makes her nervous still. My wife Lucy and I adopted Roberta from Aarf shelter in Richmond about 6 years ago. She was about a year old at the time. Shes healthy and has never had health issues. She has velvety soft fur and is a sweetie pie. She has an uncanny food motivation and loves people, although she oscillates between friendly and indifferent to other dogs, given other stimuli. (She has a hound brother) She is potty trained (knows the expectation) and mostly potties outside but will sometimes potty inside. She loves her crate but has always, since we tried to crate train her as a pup, gotten anxious when its locked. Her ideal home is with someone who can give her lots of love and attention. She loves walks and open spaces outside. Top 6 Roberta descriptors: 1.Sweet 2.Loyal 3.Soft 4.Impeccable Snuggler 5.Independent 6.Hungry! My wife and are looking to rehome her because we have a 5 year old son and are welcoming our 2nd son in addition to our other hound. We love her very much.
