Learn more hereKris is an 8-year-old, 70-pound sweetheart who may be a senior on paper, but he’s got the athleticism and enthusiasm of a younger dog. He’s playful and can catch a ball midair like an absolute champ. If fetch is your love language, Kris is already fluent! His foster family reports Kris is the definition of easy. He’s fully potty trained, relaxed, and happy to entertain himself with toys or settle in beside you once he’s had his fun. He has wonderful house manners and has an all-around good-natured temperament. He knows cues like sit, enjoys learning, and loves pleasing his people. He’s excellent on leash, making walks smooth and enjoyable. He’s curious and loves exploring, but always with a calm, steady energy. Kris was a family dog before arriving at the shelter, and you can feel how ready he is to be part of a home again. He’d be happy as your one-and-only companion or potentially a good match for another mellow dog. Learn more hereAt 6 years old and 65 pounds, Gracie is a lovely German Shepherd mix who’s all about the quiet joys in life—soft pets, kind humans, and taking things at her own pace. She was found as a stray, but she’s settled into her foster home with grace (pun intended!) and is now ready to find a loving home. Gracie is sweet as can be and loves gentle attention from her people. She is proving to be potty trained in her foster home and can be left alone for several hours okay, potty breaks in the yard every several hours is working fine. She loves meeting new people and getting attention, she would likely prefer to live in a home with frequent human interaction. She is getting to be very good on leash and loves exploration time to sniff around and have doggie fun. She enjoys playing fetch!  In shelter playgroups, she preferred to do her own thing—sniffing the yard, observing the action, and keeping it low-key. She’s more of an independent gal, but she’s polite and calm around other dogs and would do well with appropriately matched friends or as a solo pup. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s mellow, affectionate, and just the right amount of independent, Gracie might be your match! Jonesy is young adult, 84-pound Rottweiler mix. Jonesy is a medium energy guy who knows how to enjoy the slower things in life, but also enjoys long waks. Jonesy is a pleasure to walk on leash. He loves to use his nose and goes on regular sniffaris. Jonesy is extremely food motivated and has proven himself a good candidate for further training. He will need an experienced home committed to further training. Jonesy would do best in an adult-only home. Ideally the person who adopts Jonesy would have experience with Rottweilers or done some research into the breed. Jonesy is comfortable around other dogs with the right match, but would be equally happy as a cherished solo companion.
