She's still a little puppy with an entire life of learning, exploring, and loving ahead of her. Stella is friendly with other dogs and good with children. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. With her German Shepherd and Belgian Shepherd heritage, Stella may grow into an intelligent, loyal, active, and highly trainable companion. Shepherd-type dogs are often known for forming strong bonds with their families and enjoying activities that engage both their bodies and their minds. Because Stella is still very young and is a mixed breed, her eventual adult size, appearance, personality, and energy level cannot be predicted with certainty. Her adopter should be prepared for the possibility that this tiny puppy could grow into a medium-to-large, active adult dog. Puppy Training, Adjustment & What to Expect At four months old, Stella is still very much a baby. Her future family should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, occasional potty accidents, bursts of energy, curiosity, distraction, and testing boundaries. Rescue puppies generally arrive with basic training at best. Her adopter should be prepared to continue teaching: House training Crate training as appropriate Basic commands Leash manners Appropriate chewing Bite inhibition Calm greetings Household boundaries Proper socialization Handling and grooming With an intelligent Shepherd mix like Stella, mental enrichment is especially valuable. Short positive training sessions, food puzzles, scent games, interactive toys, and learning new skills can help keep her growing mind engaged.
