Story
**Mollie is a board and train dog through Brighter Days.  Please read all about this before applying to adopt** Mollie is a 2 year old Rottie mix Mollie was surrendered to Brighter Days Dog Resue because her previous owners had never taken the time to train her properly.  Becuase of this she was surrendered to Brighter Days to find a family who actually has the time and dedication a 4-legged companion needs.  When an adult dog comes to us lacking any sort of training we immediately get them into our board and train program.  One of the main reasons dogs get euthanized in an overcrowded shelter is due to lack of training.  When we started Brighter Days we made a commitment that we would make sure every single Brighter Days Dog would be set up for a life time of success, which includes training.  Our trainer works so hard to get these dogs to be wonderful, stable, balanced, obedient, great dogs.  To make sure their hard work is not lost over time due to owners who don't continue the training, we require each one of our adopters who is adopting a board and train dog to take our trainers classes in longmont.  It is an eight week course that is usually $300, but for Brighter Days adopters it is free! Here is what our Trainer has to say about Mollie: Mollie is a high energy, hilarious, sweet and affectionate dog. Mollie will need daily exercise, so an active home is best for her, a home that enjoys walking, running, hiking, etc. Also she needs a house with a big yard and a fully enclosed with a 6 foot privacy fence. She is an awesome dog and will be perfect for the right, active family.  We are going to require Molly goes to a home without other dogs, cats, and kids just to make sure she is set up for success.   If you are inerested in adopting Mollie please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##1403699##

Story
Bailey is a sweet, gentle 1-year-old pup we adopted from Longmont Humane Society. Spayed, chipped, fully vaccinated. She’s wonderful with kids (lives with my 11- and 15-year-old daughters and their friends), super gentle with our Boston Terrier, and loves all dogs at parks and daycare (never a single bad report). Her bark sounds big, but she’s a total love—great in the car and happy to cuddle in bed. We got her when another adult was here to help with care; that person is now gone and we can no longer give her the time and attention she deserves. Heartbreaking, but we want the very best home for her.

Story
Hello, I'm Rumble! I'm a big lovable Rottie with a heart of gold for people!! According to my foster mom, I've got the heart of a big, playful puppy, and sometimes I forget that I'm a larger dog when I'm having a blast. So, if you have smaller dogs at home, we might just need a little adjustment period to get along famously. But here's the thing—when it comes to cats, I'm not the most purr-fect playmate, so if you've got a furry feline in the house, I might not be the ideal match. Now, if you believe you can provide me with a loving and caring home, please don't hesitate to apply today. And yes, I may be soaking up the Texas sunshine right now, but the good news is that I'm ready to hit the road and make my way to your heart and home. All it takes is a $230 transport fee, and I'll be on my way to becoming your loyal companion.Let's make it happen! Apply today, and let's embark on a journey of love and companionship together. Thank you for considering me for adoption! Online Application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $300).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Coffee is a beautiful rottweiler who was at risk of getting shot after being dumped on a rural property. She was heartworm positive but has been treated for it. She has stubby tail. She has been good with male and female dogs medium to large but has not been around small dogs or cats. She is very very friendly with people. She walks well on the leash. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) All dogs/cats can be adopted in all locations below, regardless of where they are posted. Story
LION – Male Boxer | 2 Years Old - DOB 11/25/2023 |    50 lbs | Healthy, Vaccinated & Neutered Introducing Lion, the sweetest big-hearted Boxer boy you’ll ever meet! At 2 years old, Lion has that perfect blend of Boxer goofiness and soulful loyalty. He’s playful, affectionate, expressive, and absolutely loves being near his humans. Lion is the type of dog who wiggles when he’s happy, leans in for cuddles, and charms everyone he meets with his warm, gentle nature. Breed Info: Boxers are known for their intelligence, athleticism, and famously silly personalities. They are deeply loyal, people-oriented, and incredibly loving companions. Boxers thrive on interaction, bonding, and being included in family life. Lion reflects the best of his breed — goofy, devoted, and full of heart. Owner Responsibilities: To help Lion thrive, he’ll need: Daily exercise (walks, play, and engagement) Structure, training, and positive reinforcement Plenty of affection and time with his family A safe, stable home where he won’t be left alone too long Give him routine, purpose, and love — and Lion will give you devotion for life. Things to Consider Before Adopting Lion: Are you ready for a medium-energy, highly social dog? Do you have the time and stability for daily exercise and bonding? Is your home and landlord dog-friendly? Are you prepared to commit to a dog for the next 10+ years? Are you ready for a dog who wants to be included as part of the family, always? Dogs are forever — not until convenient. Vet Care: Lion is healthy, vaccinated, and neutered. Please take him to your own vet shortly after adoption to set up ongoing care and ensure his continued well-being. The 3-3-3 Rule & Lifelong Commitment: First 3 days: He decompresses and starts to feel safe. First 3 weeks: Lion learns your routine, expectations, and begins trusting fully. First 3 months: He bonds deeply, understanding he is truly home at last. Adoption is forever — and Lion is ready to give his heart unconditionally. Why Lion Would Be a Great Addition: Lion is a loyal, affectionate, and joy-filled companion who will bring warmth and love into any home. His expressive Boxer charm, playful energy, and gentle nature make him the kind of dog who forms bonds that last a lifetime. He’ll make you laugh, comfort you on hard days, and love you with everything he has. He’s not just a dog — he’s family. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143   If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue. ******Please note, once you complete the initial screening, you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks, and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Zephyr, also known as Zee, is an 8 year old neutered male Doberman Pinscher weighing in at 75lbs. He iscurrently being fostered in Houston, TX and can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! Zee is a sweet, affectionate boy who absolutely adores people of all ages. He has been wonderful with children, neighborhood kids, and even elderly family members, showing a gentle, intuitive nature as if he knows when to be extra careful. Though he can be shy at first, once he warms up his goofy personality shines through—he’ll hop like a bunny when he’s excited, soak up every bit of affection, and happily cuddle up next to you or sleep by your side at night. Zee loves outings with his humans too, whether it’s a car ride, a trip for ice cream, or hanging out with friends—he’s happiest when he’s included and getting attention. Zee has a moderate energy level and is an easy going guy. He enjoys playing tug, fetch (even if he doesn’t always bring the ball back!), and romping around the yard. He’s fully house trained, can be left alone with full run of the house without any issues, and is not destructive. Zee walks on a leash with a harness and is still working on pulling, especially when he spots squirrels, cats, or dogs, but he’s improving with consistency. He is happy to hang out with his bone if his humans are busy! Zee would thrive best as the only pet in the home. He does not do well with other dogs and has a high prey drive with cats, so a single-pet household is ideal. That said, he makes up for it by being incredibly loving, loyal, and people-focused. Some of his cutest quirks include chasing dragonflies like a Disney princess, stealing socks just for attention, and “goosing” you if he feels ignored—he clearly finds it hilarious. He is truly a gentle soul looking for a home where he can be someone’s one and only, and he will return that love tenfold. 🐾 If you are interested in adding Zephyr into your family, please fill out the adoption application below! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DDAR/Dog ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. ***
