**Mollie is a board and train dog through Brighter Days. Please read all about this before applying to adopt** Mollie is a 2 year old Rottie mix Mollie was surrendered to Brighter Days Dog Resue because her previous owners had never taken the time to train her properly. Becuase of this she was surrendered to Brighter Days to find a family who actually has the time and dedication a 4-legged companion needs. When an adult dog comes to us lacking any sort of training we immediately get them into our board and train program. One of the main reasons dogs get euthanized in an overcrowded shelter is due to lack of training. When we started Brighter Days we made a commitment that we would make sure every single Brighter Days Dog would be set up for a life time of success, which includes training. Our trainer works so hard to get these dogs to be wonderful, stable, balanced, obedient, great dogs. To make sure their hard work is not lost over time due to owners who don't continue the training, we require each one of our adopters who is adopting a board and train dog to take our trainers classes in longmont. It is an eight week course that is usually $300, but for Brighter Days adopters it is free! Here is what our Trainer has to say about Mollie: Mollie is a high energy, hilarious, sweet and affectionate dog. Mollie will need daily exercise, so an active home is best for her, a home that enjoys walking, running, hiking, etc. Also she needs a house with a big yard and a fully enclosed with a 6 foot privacy fence. She is an awesome dog and will be perfect for the right, active family. We are going to require Molly goes to a home without other dogs, cats, and kids just to make sure she is set up for success. Coffee is a beautiful rottweiler who was at risk of getting shot after being dumped on a rural property. She was heartworm positive but has been treated for it. She has stubby tail. She has been good with male and female dogs medium to large but has not been around small dogs or cats. She is very very friendly with people. She walks well on the leash. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. Raleigh is a 3MO, 10lb long little Brindle pup. We are guessing she will be about 20-25lbs when full grown. raleigh and her siblings are all different and unique, which makes it hard for us to even guess what breeds they truly are. Honestly we have zero idea what their breeds are, but we know they are absolutely adorable, unique, and so, so sweet. Raleigh and her siblings were found as strays in a rural part of Texas. They were absolutely terrified at first. A wonderful rescue lady in the area brought all the pups back to her house and kept them safe until we could get them into our rescue program. They have really started to come out of their shells and learn all that life has to give - when you aren't busy fighting for your life in the middle of nowhere. Raleigh and her siblings are typical puppies. They love to play with each other, romp around with the fosters other dogs, and follow the foster around, cuirously watching them. They love to snuggle and hang out. Their forever families will need to be patient with them as they continue to learn all that life has to offer and that humans are kind and safe. While they have little legs, they would still love to have a sibling to play with or someone who can take them on daily walks/adventures and get them continual mental stimulation and socialization.
