Story
Jupiter came to POSO with her sister, Juno who was recently adopted. They came from the Navajo Nation and were born on the Solar Eclipse. She is a 2.5 months old Husky/Rottie mix puppy. We know who her parents are, so no question of breed there! She is the absolutely sweetest girl and has such a calm and loving demeanor. She is so fluffy and lighter in color. She favors the husky breed at her current stage in life. She will give you endless kisses and also loves to play. She loves children and will make an amazing family dog. She is doing so well in her crate and sleeps in there every night in addition to eating in her crate. She is currently learning the word “crate” to associate going inside of it. Potty training and learning to tell her foster mom she needs to go potty is a work in progress, but we think she’s finally got it. She has started going and sitting by the back door when she would like to go outside. She in a foster home in Denver, CO and all applicants/interested parties will be asked to meet at the fosters home as she is awaiting her final round of shots and cannot go on walks or into parks at this time. She can be adopted now and we will cover the final round of shots and instruct her adopter on how to schedule that. Things we’ve established so far: •fine with vacuum cleaners •tolerated a bath and blow dry well •loves to sleep on fluffy blankets (they’ll go home with their favorites) •they’ll wear bows and bandanas no problem •they do great on car rides (a couple hours is the distance we’ve gone so far.) •she loves being outside and would stay out in the backyard all day long if you let her. •they have met so many people and children already and have loved them all. Jupiter will be fully up to date on shots and will come with two free training sessions by one of our amazing trainers!

Story
**Mollie is a board and train dog through Brighter Days.  Please read all about this before applying to adopt** Mollie is a 2 year old Rottie mix Mollie was surrendered to Brighter Days Dog Resue because her previous owners had never taken the time to train her properly.  Becuase of this she was surrendered to Brighter Days to find a family who actually has the time and dedication a 4-legged companion needs.  When an adult dog comes to us lacking any sort of training we immediately get them into our board and train program.  One of the main reasons dogs get euthanized in an overcrowded shelter is due to lack of training.  When we started Brighter Days we made a commitment that we would make sure every single Brighter Days Dog would be set up for a life time of success, which includes training.  Our trainer works so hard to get these dogs to be wonderful, stable, balanced, obedient, great dogs.  To make sure their hard work is not lost over time due to owners who don't continue the training, we require each one of our adopters who is adopting a board and train dog to take our trainers classes in longmont.  It is an eight week course that is usually $300, but for Brighter Days adopters it is free! Here is what our Trainer has to say about Mollie: Mollie is a high energy, hilarious, sweet and affectionate dog. Mollie will need daily exercise, so an active home is best for her, a home that enjoys walking, running, hiking, etc. Also she needs a house with a big yard and a fully enclosed with a 6 foot privacy fence. She is an awesome dog and will be perfect for the right, active family.  We are going to require Molly goes to a home without other dogs, cats, and kids just to make sure she is set up for success.   If you are inerested in adopting Mollie please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##1403699##

Story
Gosh, what’s not to love about Macy! Macy is approx 6 years old and 62 lbs. Her foster mom describes her as a big ole couch potato. It’s an absolute MUST that her forever home let her partake in bedtime snuggles and daytime binging of Netflix and couch cuddling. Macy loves kiddos, too. She’s a nanny dog through and through. In fact, while Macy was in the shelter in NM, she delivered a litter of puppies and they all passed away from disease. It’s no wonder her tiny human foster kids warm her heart so much. Macy is also good with other canine friends. Her canine foster siblings range in size from tiny to large and she’s good with both. She’s looking for a true forever family of her own. Macy has been spayed and also had a dental so her new family won’t have to worry about that for a few years. Macy is in foster in Loveland, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/macy/. You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Retta is a Rottweile. my career has ramped up so I’m traveling quite a bit, and Rettas getting more physically mature (she’s 17 months) and needs some more attention and space to roam. We live in a town home in the city and Retta really deserves a yard possibly with other doggos to hang out with all day while us hoomans are at work. She is very kind and gentle with hoomans but does like to get a bit rambunctious while playing with other dogs. She is housebroken and is quite smart and quick to pick up new rules and tricks. She’s a fantastic pup and deserves a better life than I can currently provide her. I’m hoping we can find her a beautiful loving family with a yard soon!

Story
This little sweetie is looking for someone with a big, big heart to take care of her. She's dealing with an autoimmune deficiency called Masticatory Muscle Myositis in which her immune system attacks the muscles around her mouth and head. All of this is manageable with a special diet and medication, but she's going to need someone who is ready for that responsibility. She's one of the kindest dogs I've ever met, very curious, and sweet as could be. If you're interested in meeting Coco, fill out an application here: https://acesangels.org/aceadopt.html

Story
Cassidy is a 4 year old Rottweiler that was saved from death row. Cassidy is a very typical rottie — super human-oriented, friendly, stoic. She is a very very sweet dog that loves belly rubs and thinks she's a lap dog. She eats and sleeps great and is house trained with monitoring. She does not like cats. She is great with kids and is food/treat motivated. Cassidy can be dog selective but has integrated successfully with the foster family's dogs. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has been dewormed. Cassidy would love to be part of a family that keep her occupied as part of daily routine. Cassidy is $350 to adopt.

Story
Greetings and salutations, Colorado, it’s me, Gonzo! I like to fancy myself a courteous and honorable gent, and my mom always told me begging is bad manners, but the Underdogs assured me that begging for a hero to help save you is the exception to that rule. Allow me to properly introduce myself. My name is Gonzo and I’m a 2-3 year-old gentle giant Boxer/American Bulldog mix buddy and I'm crossing all my paws for a hero foster or adopter. My Underdogs foster folks can only surmise that I was once somebody’s well-loved guy before I ended up in the dog clink.  I have impeccable bathroom manners, walk politely on leash and lounge quietly on my dog bed.  I’ll never know why my previous peoples stopped loving me and why they left me to wander the cold winter streets alone. What I do know, though, is that I’ve never stopped loving the peoples, ALL the peoples. Because man alive, do I love them! I could sweetly lean into them for pets and cuddles all day long. And if they gave me proper permission, I’d also happily cover them in my signature Gonzo smooches. It’s also my sole mission in life to make them laugh with my hilarious antics and sweet demeanor. I'm a calm dude in the home, but I also love to go for runs, walks and hikes. Basically, I'm down for all the Colorado adventuring.  I do well around other good fit dog friends, but my best fit home may be one where I'm your only four-legged best bud. Believe me, I've got so much love to give, one Gonzo guy is all you'll ever need. I truly am such an easy well-mannered giant lover, I just know you'll love me once you meet me.  I'm neutered, vaccinated  If you’re interested in learning more about me and hopefully set up a meeting, please fill out an adoption application at https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/  and if you're interested in helping spring me from this sad and lonely dog clink by helping to foster me, I would be soo sooo grateful, please fill out a foster application at https://underdogsrescue.org/foster-form/ .  ##1906137##
