Story
Meet Cooper! He was being fostered, and the family decided it wasn't a good fit and returned Cooper on 1/7. They did mention that Cooper seems house-trained, good with older children, and good with other dogs. He doesn't seem to know his size, so he would be best in a home with older more dog-savvy kids. Cooper is now keeping his paws crossed for a new, forever home where he will be loved and kept safe so that he never ends up back in the shelter. The volunteers describe Cooper as sweet and loving. He is quiet in his kennel and sits nicely for treats. He is a very handsome boy with a super soft coat. Cooper is approximately 5 years old, and weighs 86 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he has been neutered and microchipped. Unfortunately, Cooper did test positive for heartworms, but with proper treatment and care he can go on to live a long and healthy life. Please speak with shelter staff about the option of fostering to adopt while he receives treatment. Cooper is waiting patiently in kennel 873; his ID # is 15391. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. Rosie is a super sweet senior who arrived at that shelter on 12/16/25 with her bestie Sophia. They are both very sweet girls. Rosie is a little more outgoing and enjoys treats like her friend. Rosie is patiently waiting to meet her forever FAMILY so that she can enjoy her golden years. Rosie is 18 years old and weighs 76 pounds. She is UTD on vaccines and will be spayed and microchipped when adopted. Sady, she was not given monthly heartworm prophylaxis and Rosie did test positive for heartworms. Please know that with proper treatment and care she can go on to live a long and healthy life. Please stop by to meet this adorable girl in run 80 her ID # is 15729.
