Story
Meet Cooper! He was being fostered, and the family decided it wasn't a good fit and returned Cooper on 1/7. They did mention that Cooper seems house-trained, good with older children, and good with other dogs. He doesn't seem to know his size, so he would be best in a home with older more dog-savvy kids. Cooper is now keeping his paws crossed for a new, forever home where he will be loved and kept safe so that he never ends up back in the shelter. The volunteers describe Cooper as sweet and loving. He is quiet in his kennel and sits nicely for treats. He is a very handsome boy with a super soft coat. Cooper is approximately 5 years old, and weighs 86 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he has been neutered and microchipped. Unfortunately, Cooper did test positive for heartworms, but with proper treatment and care he can go on to live a long and healthy life. Please speak with shelter staff about the option of fostering to adopt while he receives treatment. Cooper is waiting patiently in kennel 873; his ID # is 15391. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. At 2 years old, this handsome shepherd mix has an impressive size, but underneath it all he’s a gentle, sensitive soul who is still trying to understand the shelter environment. He can be scared at first, but his loving nature shines through once he realizes he’s safe. Fofo knows how to sit and stay when asked, showing just how smart and eager to please he is. He responds well to calm guidance and reassurance, and it’s clear he wants to do the right thing. Despite his nerves, Fofo remains affectionate and gentle, especially with people who give him patience and kindness. Fofo is looking for a home where he can finally relax, feel secure, and be loved the way he deserves. With a little time and a lot of love, this sweet, handsome boy is going to blossom into an incredibly loyal and devoted companion.
