Meet handsome Farley! He ended up at the shelter as a lost boy on 2/23, and no one has come to reclaim him. We're surprised no one is missing Farley, he seems to be well taken care of and his coat is clean and beautiful. Farley is now hoping his new forever family is out there and will welcome him home any day now. The volunteers describe Farley as friendly, treat-motivated, and energetic. For being a senior, Farley sure doesn't act like it; he has lots of pep left in his step! Farley is approximately 8 years old, and he weighs 74 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he will be neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Please come meet Farley in run 87; his ID # is 653872. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. Story
This stunning GSD is Hughes! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 3/30, and no one has come to reclaim him. Hughes is not a fan of the shelter and he'd really like to find a new, loving home quickly! The shelter environment with all the loud noises and strange smells is confusing to him. The volunteers discovered that Hughes knows several commands including sit and lay down. It appears as though Hughes had a loving home at one point; his fur is clean and very soft. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion look no further, come meet Hughes! Hughes is approximately 5 years old, and he weighs 65 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, neutered and tested negative for heartworms; he will be microchipped upon adoption. Hughes is waiting in run 26; his ID # is 655547. Story
I’m Lord Golia! Although I’m titled as Lord, don’t be intimidated; I’m a sweetie with lots of love for all! I am 4 years old, healthy, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. I am a pure-bred German Shepherd. My energy level is medium because I’m curious about my surroundings and love meeting new people, but I’m generally pretty laid back. I’m totally cool with cats, kids, and other doggies. And I love exploring the outdoors and going on hikes! And best of all, I’m housebroken. I’m not the biggest German Shepard male, weighing 58lb, but I am the biggest lover!

Story
I’m Princess La Reyna and my fairy tale is just starting with you! I am 4 years old, healthy and spayed. I am a pure-bred German Shepherd. Clearly, I am so pretty, but I’m also an amazing girl. I weigh 57lb and am friendly with other dogs. I am not great in dog parks because I get so excited, but I am ok with one or two dogs. I love to give hugs and try to see you at eye level, so I could use a little training on “sit”. But once I learn my simple commands, I’ll be loyal companion and active walking buddy! I came to the rescue with a uterus infection, but I’m all cleared up with a clean bill of health, microchip, and negative heartworm test. My ideal forever home would include space for me to run on a regular basis, and an owner who understands the needs of German Shepherds.
