Meet this beautiful girl who is finally getting the second chance she deserves!
At approximately 3–4 years old and 50 pounds, this sweet girl has a story that will break your heart, but her future is looking so bright!
She was found abandoned in the Dorado area of Puerto Rico, heartbreakingly skinny and desperate for someone to love her. When rescuers arrived, she couldn't wait to be saved. It was almost as if she knew her life was finally about to change.
Since being rescued, she has gained much-needed weight, grown in confidence, and blossomed into the most wonderful dog! She is incredibly gentle, intelligent, calm, and SO loving! She gets along beautifully with other dogs and does wonderfully with everyone she meets. She has such a sweet, peaceful personality and truly just wants to love and be loved.
While she's come such a long way, we know her past wasn't always kind to her. She's a sensitive soul who deserves a home filled with patience, encouragement, and gentle voices. We would love to find her a peaceful, loving family where she'll never have to worry about being yelled at or treated harshly again.
She's not a difficult dog or one who needs a lot of work. In fact, she's quite the opposite! She's a wonderful, easygoing companion who just deserves people who will treat her with the same kindness she gives so freely. She will be fully vetted before adoption and is ready to find the family who will love her forever.
After a life that started with abandonment and uncertainty, all we want for this beautiful girl is a lifetime of soft beds, gentle hands, kind words, and unconditional love.
Willow is currently in PR and is available for FaceTime meet and greets! She will be sent to a home in the continental US (adoption fee covers transport) whenever a foster opens or she finds her forever home.
