After being hit by a car, Gunnar lost one of his legs, but he hasn’t lost an ounce of his spirit. This incredible tripod gets around with confidence, determination, and a joyful energy that’s truly inspiring to watch. Gunnar is as friendly as they come. He loves meeting new people and greets everyone like an old friend. He is friendly with other dogs out and about, however, at home he would prefer to be your one and only and soak up all the attention.  Don’t let the three legs fool you, Gunnar still enjoys walks, playtime, and being part of whatever you’re doing. He adapts beautifully and just wants to be included in a loving home where he can continue to thrive. Gunnar is looking for someone who sees how special he is, not in spite of his journey, but because of it. Story
Bailey Robinson is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home!  Bailey is a special lady that will slowly and quietly work her way into your heart. Having spent most of her first year living outside with minimal human interaction she is slowly learning that being inside is pretty nice and humans can be too! She needs at least one other dog and a fenced yard. She extremely shy and skittish (flight risk at first), but will open once she builds trust and feels safe, but it will take time. Bailey loves to eat and once comfortable she is extremely food motivated, the quickest way to her heart is peanut butter and freeze dried liver. Once she trusts you she will come to you for pets and love.  She needs a very patient adopter willing to give her the time to adjust and trust, but it is well worth it. She is incredibly sweet. She will benefit from professional training to help her continue to make progress.  Teens and older only, busy kids are too much for her. She'd also prefer a quieter household with a consistent schedule and routine, too many visitors make her nervous. Story
Thank you for your interest in adopting Josie! Josie lives in an Alabama Foster Home and will Transport when she is Adopted. We strive to make every Adoption as smooth and easy as possible. We have been adopting pets to families in the northeast and New England for over 15 years. Josie comes from an oops litter. Mom is a Rotti looking dog, they call Rottweiler. Shes a pretty dog, but not the large muscle dog we know. She could be mixed, but the smooth coat puppies in the litter look Rottweiler. Dad unknown. She's probably multiple breeds if you DNA test her. Based on her size, she will be a dog that weighs over 65 pounds. Josie is an old soul. She's quiet, submissive, respectful of people and pets. Josie lives in a home with a senior mom and daughter, an elderly dog, a pitbull and a bulldog, a couple of Chihuahuas, her sister and two cats. She is crate trained and doing wonderful in the home with house training. She is a super nice dog! She would love a home with kids. She's been around young children. Josie is spayed, rabies, up-to-date on vaccines and boosters, microchip, dewormed, and receiving parasite prevention. She comes with medical records. $585 total Adoption fee $345 to the Rescue $175 to the Transporter.
